"So you're saying, for this little plan of yours to work, you want to commit suicide?"
"That's about it yeah."
"And here I thought you were afraid of dying?"
"I still am. Only thing is, if I need to rise up the ranks faster, I need to give spot on suggestions. I join a mission once, get information, die, and deliver the information as guesses. Strategising, if you'd call it that way."
"I see where you're getting at least, Raibo. But what's the point of telling me? I'm still letting you use my powers nonetheless."
"Well... yeah. I just thought I'd tell you about it."
"You could've told me outside," she sighed, adjusting a few rocks here and there. "But take my advice. Join the scouting group."
"Oh, I see. Hey, your tree looks pretty good."
"Well, glad you noticed. I feel I should at least thank you for all... this. You remember the first time we met, there was nothing here. It gets boring."
"Your previous users never gave you anything?"
"Of course not, they were all 'me, me, me'. Thinking they were the heroes and all that nonsense. You however are quite different, and I can't say I dislike that about you," she grinned.
"Oh. Um... thanks."
The seed I gave her last time had grown into a decently large tree. It was still a little below my height, but for something to be growing here... it was already surprising enough.
Kuro was curious about the outside world, noticeably. She always liked asking me to pick up random things I find. And that kinda grew on me.
Though... with all the things she has over here, she might need something to hold everything. Maybe I should get a shelf or something... somehow.
"Raibo, what are you standing around for? You have more things to worry about other than staring at my face all day. Off you go~" she pushed me out.
"H-Hey! You don't have to push!"
"Bye bye~"
Just before I left her realm, I caught a glimpse of her staring at her own hands with a smile.
What... was that about?
I didn't ask. Time to look for the two and get some work done.... where... did they go... exactly?
"Damn it. Alice-? Iona-? Of course they can't hear me... Only Scarlet can.
Forgetting something?
Oh right. I arranged for them to meet me at the hall. I'll just head there.
---
Back at the hall, the two of them were sitting by on a bench, talking to some people.Hang on.... Those guys aren't talking nice....
On it.
"U-Um... Alice is supposed to wait for Master here..."
"Me too..."
"It's alright, he won't be mad if you're a little late."
"Come on, we won't bite-"
"But I would," I said, holding the two by their shoulders. "Would you mind leaving my friends alone?"
"Oh shit... bail!"
"Wait up!"
I sighed.
"Sorry for being late. You two alright?"
