It took some time to explain, as well as have Mary and Alice translate what we were talking about to Sylphie and Larry respectively, but everyone eventually understood who each other were and why everyone was here. Father knew Sylphie already, which was a plus, but it took a bit longer to tell him that her brother tried to murder her.

"So you're saying you need to meet the emperor himself?"

"Yes. Shi- Amayasha-sama is going to tell him beforehand that we were coming. And after the peace treaty between Tendo and Reverie is complete, I need to start on my next trip."

"You're leaving again?" mother asked worriedly.

"Unfortunately, yes. Until I can get Sylphie back on the throne without her brother trying to get her head on a spike, I'll have to be in Sylphia."

"When are you going?" Tsukine continued.

"Soon. Probably a day or two after the treaty gets signed. I need to bring Larry back to Reverie that head straight for Sylphie."

"But you just came home!" Hina complained. "I don't want you to go away again!"

"I'm sorry, Hina. I don't really have a choice. Oh, before I forget, I got these for you, as promised."

"Promise...?"

"I said I'd get you something, so here."

I gave her the mana crystals, which instantly turned into a fiery red in her hands.

"Pretty..."

"Glad you like it," I stroked her head. "I'll get you something else from Sylphia, alright?"

"You better! And come back safely!"

"Your lil sis doesn't want you in Sylphie?"

"Of course she doesn't. It's dangerous and she's too worried. Not like I have a choice to not go. This war isn't going to solve itself."

"Does it really have to be you?" Sylphie asked. "Not meaning any rudeness, but is there no one else who can do this job?"

"No. Not that I know of. Either way, I'm going to be doing it."

Father sighed as mother refilled his tea.

"Raito, remember to keep your guard up while you're there, alright? We Tendoen's can rarely use magic, let alone fight against it. Be careful."

"Yes father."

"I can use magic," Hina suddenly spoke up. "At least if it's fire."

"Alright alright. Enough arguing. Raito, I'll have the servants prepare a room for Sylphie and Larry. But what off your other friends?"

"Oh right.... I think my room is big enough. Can we get some extra beds in there? They tend to like sleeping near me."
