The request for the speakers were complete, and Tinker had managed to produce six large speakers.

We had also picked out the location for the speakers to go on, a bell tower near to centre of Machina, but we had to fight our way there first.

The border between Anima and Machina was more heavily secured, now that they learned we were prepared for battle. We wanted them to, however. Our strategy hinged on the enemy forming armies ready to intercept us, since we were going to flank the intercepting enemies.

I had asked Claire if she was ready for this, since there was a high chance she had to fight through the Royal Guard, and meet with Wallace again. She simply answered 'yes'.

Claire wasn't expecting to face much of a fight from everyone else. Since, according to her, if she went all-out, she could take on the entire Royal Guard at once. Thrice. I took her word on that. Not that I was expecting those on the receiving end of her swords to have good time anyway.

I told her that she didn't have to follow my niceties of the no kill rule. If she found the resistance to be too much, she could take them out. This rule was only something I used to keep myself in check anyway.

About two days of preparation later, we were ready for battle. I stood on a roof with Ruira and Mary. We were to head to the bell tower, while Claire and Alice helped down below.

A 'declaration of war' was shown. A single smoke flare. Red smoke filled the sky.

It was time for war.

There was a yell from the people below me.

"This is the war for the people!!"
"For the future of Reverie!"
"We will bring down the scum that call themselves the king!!"

They roared. Larry raised his gun.

"Are you ready for war!?!"

A roar from the people.

"Are you ready to take back what is ours?!"

Another roar.

"This is the fight for Reverie!! We will fight till Nexus kicks the bucket, or we will die trying!! Till the last man standing!!"

The guy knew how to give a pep talk, gotta give him that.

"Master, are you ready?" Mary asked.

"Yeah. Let's get this over with. Ruira, you get ready to. We make a run for the tower as soon as they start the attack."

"I'm game. But something tells me that hunk of metal isn't going to let them pass," She pointed down.

There were four HEART units. Two regular ones and two armoured variants... There were also plenty of soldiers with guns. It was a danger to everyone, or it would be. But we had help.

Everyone was silent, but then, a single person moved forwards.

Claire stepped up. Walking towards the machines. Her voice clear as day, as swords materialised behind her.

"I'll give you all a chance to run. Lest you want to taste these blades first hand."

The armoured ones moved forwards, their steps cracking the floor. The soldiers all pointed their guns at Claire.

"I'll take that as a no."

I immediately felt a dip in my mana as several tens of blades appeared all around her, firing forwards into the enemy. The flaring blades pierced right into the machines, tearing apart the damn things like it was nothing. Some blades jammed right into the weaponry, blowing the machines up, engulfing them in flames.
