Spying... something I never really did in my original life, has now become something that is highly important to me.

Time was running short. With the peace talks Tendo and Sylphia running short, a battle was going to start all over again. And I've barely made any progress...

I sat in my bed silently. I woke up early again today.

Another nightmare. This time the sight of her dying in front of me. Her smile as she held my hand, the colour in her eyes fading away, her blood staining the white snow a terrifying red. .. it still haunted me. I never met her in this life, maybe it was for the better.

I washed my face with cold water to clear my thoughts. I didn't have time for this, my job came first.... I couldn't get distracted.

Following the usual routine of waking the two up and getting ready, we were eventually ready to set off. As Seth promised, he had readied a train ride for us to get to the outside of Machina.

It wasn't long before we set off onto a two hour long trip. The view wasn't bad. But I could see the destruction around. In the far off areas, I could see some remains of what was a battle. Flag poles stuck in the ground with partially burnt flags still flying in the wind... Seth and Larry were right. They were lacking people. And deaths were going to continue.

Unless I tried something, as self centred as that sounded.

Everything hinged on how the revolution ends. Will the tyrant or the people fall? If the tyrant fell, a new government would rise and hopefully benefit one another. But if the people fell, Malira was going down. Sylphia would easily overpower both the broken Malira, and Tendo, which had no way of dealing with magic. Leading to Sylphia winning this war.

That had to be avoided. In other words.... the revolution simply had to succeed, no matter what it took.

"Master, you have a scary look on your eyes again...," Iona broke my train of thought. "Is everything alright...?"

"Y-Yeah. Sorry. I'm gonna go get a little breather. Wait for me here."

"Oh, alright."

"Can Alice come?"

"Just sit down for now. I'm just taking a few minutes."

I walked out of the carriage door, small miss there. The winds were pretty darn cold. Winter was closing in. There was a sudden gush of wind.

"Damn it's cold.... My scarf!!"

My scarf was blown off by the wind, and I immediately reached for it, almost falling off the carriage. I pulled myself back up, holding onto the scarf tightly.

You idiot! That was too dangerous of an action just for a silly scarf!! Did you plan to waste a reset on that?!

Sorry...

*sighs* Speaking of which... why do you always wear this same old scarf? You even wear it during summer.

It's... just something I like. Leave it.

You almost look like you're hiding something.

It's really nothing.

That's fine. If you don't want to talk about it, I'll keep quiet.

Sorry, Kuro.

"So, Master."

"Yeah?"

"What's the plan for now?"

"Simply put, stay hidden, scout for the enemy and confirm their numbers. Stay with me and make sure you don't get lost. It's almost impossible to find you two if you do. Understand?"
