The sounds of the waves and the smell of salty winds was calming. It felt like it was just yesterday when I first set foot in Reverie. Except it's been a year in real time, and about two and a half in my life.

But it was worth it. If trading my life was enough to save the world, I'd gladly do it.

And besides....

My Puppets were enjoying the view from the ship, while Fiore was busy telling Citra how everything was like.

Views like this makes it that much more worthwhile.

I can agree with that. It's calming. Something this world needs.

I went into my room, where Sylphie was. She was looking out of the window too.

"Raito, it's you."

"Um... yes?"

"Nothing really. I just find it odd that I was being hunted just a while ago, hiding in a ship. Now I'm safe. I must've been very fortunate to have found you."

"You did trace my mana."

"Yes, but my chances were not high. I could've died, and you wouldn't have known. And it could've mark the start of a war between Sylphia and Reverie."

"My guess is your brother wanted to use you, huh?"

"Yes. But we cannot let him. He wants to wage war and rule all of Malira... I cannot let him."

"There'll likely be assassination attempts on you even in Tendo. I'll have to keep an eye out on that. They might even target Larry. Tendo and Reverie are on a thin line, if anything bad happens, everything that I've done so far would've been for nothing."

"I shall be careful. You should too."

"Come again?"

"You must be careful. Your mana.... it's strange."

"Yeah I have a big mana pool... "

"It's not that. I sense something foreign in your-"

Leave.

What?

LEAVE!

"I gotta go for a bit, I'll talk later? Sorry," I hurried outside the room.

Time slowed, almost to a halt. Kuro had forcefully slowed time....?

Kuro, what's wrong?

I don't want to talk about it. Just... please. Don't ask her about it either.

What's gotten into-

Raibo, please. I'm sc- I just don't want to talk about it.

A-Alright... I won't. Just calm down, okay?

Time flowed naturally again. I didn't know what was happening, but Kuro didn't want to talk about it. Sylphie said something about my mana having something foreign, whatever that meant.

I felt perfectly fine.... so why was Kuro so upset about it?

"Master!"

"Mary? What's up?"

"Don't 'what's up' me! You just slowed time, something happened!"

"It's nothing! I just... um... tripped and wanted to recover."

"I can tell when people lie, Master."

"It's just... something between Kuro and I. It's nothing you should worry about. Just leave it be for now, alright?"
