Morning came around again. I woke up nearly after nightmare, Iona shoving that rapier into my face was kinda etched into my mind, it seemed.

After reading under a candlelight for a while, I went through the usual routine. Wash up, wake up the two, wait for them to wash up, and wear our stuff.

Morning.

Oh how nice of you. Well you best head down. I'm curious to see how the base will be. Hopefully they don't disappoint.

Yeah...

Tired? You woke up a few times last night. Nightmares, I assume?

Kinda.

Well lighten up. You have work to do. Hop to it Raibo. Chop chop.

Roger that.

I waited at the hall for the rest to arrive. There were already some around and were chattering about. They seemed... oddly excited.

Alice and Iona sat beside me as usual, talking to me about the various topics they had on mind. As much as they were part of my stupidly implausible effort to end the war, they were still children at heart. Letting them have fun and doing what they want was important. Besides, they have no one else with them... I had to be there for them.

Once I had the time, I should look for Ruira... Alice must be wanting to meet her. There was also that blind girl Scarlet has been telling me about. Cira? Cita? Citra, was it...?

Alice began talking about some clothing stores she noticed on our way here, while Iona later mentioned a nice little restaurant she wanted to visit. Hopefully they weren't planning on making me buy them more stuff... Though, Iona would probably need a few changes of clothes...

"Master, look," Iona pointed. Seth and Larry were at the centre of the hall, holding a small list. List of the guys around I guess.

"Guys! Sorry for making you wait. Just a little role call, then we're heading down, got it?"

He read the list, making sure everyone was around. After a bit, he nodded, and passed the list to Larry.

"Alright, time to go. Follow me."

I stood up, getting my stuff. Alice and Iona sandwiched me as usual.

"Hey kid!" Archer nudged me. "Slept well?"

"I had worse. Couldn't get any worse than a storage room on a small trade boat at least.

"You amuse more each time we talk..." Faye laughed. "And what of you two?"

"No problems."

"Alice is fine as long as Master is around."

"Come on guys, let's not waste too much time," I said.

We all went downstairs and eventually reached a big wall. Seth and Larry stood in the front, another guy uttered something, and the wall began to move apart. A tunnel several meters opened up and the end of it was a circular metal vault door. Talk about security....

As the door opened, it led us to an awfully large hole in the ground, with a spiralling stairway down. Hang on, exactly how big was this place. Oh, right. I forgot we were in Anima. Machinery is everywhere in this place.

"Well, welcome to our base. Not too much around here, but there's enough room for all of you. Probably."

Probably?...?

The base of operations was.... oddly hospitable. Already I could see a few shops here and there, makeshift homes, some workshops and whatnot.

Seth came over to me.
