A few weeks passed and the further the time goes, the more I get closer to Anthony. I learned a lot about him these past weeks and it all just got me to get even more attached to him. Last week, we hang out every day and even sat down several times in the library to study together. He helped me with a lot of things then he would drive me home and sometimes even come upstairs with me for a couple of hours then drive me to work and leave.
And even sometimes he calls me right after my shift since he learned my schedule by heart now. Anyone would if they asked me when I will finish as much as he asks me. We'd have late night conversations on the phone, talking about the most random things ever, until one of us falls asleep. I never wanted him to leave and that I need to hang up to sleep and he doesn't too so when one of us falls asleep, the other one hangs up.
He is the only guy friend I have and is now the closest one I have after Rita and Tia.
That's why I decided to make them meet each other and I told them about it and they all agreed. And we finally decided that Tia's birthday party is the best event for everyone to meet. Now I have to ask Anthony to come with me.
I got off the bed and got ready. I sat down waiting for Anthony to text me that he arrived so I could leave the house. When he did, I texted him back telling him that I'm coming.
I left the house with a smile on my face and then it hit me. I've been so happy since I met Anthony only. He makes me so happy just by his company and it's a happiness that I can't control.
Before going out of the building, I saw him parking in front of it and him sitting inside, fixing his hair in the mirror. I giggled. His hair is always panicking him. But it looked good, I can't deny it. He always takes care of his hair and when he feels like it looks bad he hides it with a hat or a beanie.
When he saw me, he smiled as I walked towards the car. "Good morning." I said, getting in.
His perfume that filled the whole car hit my nose as soon as I stepped into the car. He smelled good like always, making the whole car smell like amazing. He was wearing a white long hoodie and tight and ripped blue jeans. He looked good.
"Good morning." He smiled at me but I couldn't see his eyes from his glasses. Which made me look away. I wanted to look into his eyes.
He started the car and started driving to the coffee shop.
"Did you sleep good?" He asked, his eyes still on the road. I watched his profile as he looked around the street to take a slight turn to the right to drop me to get my coffee. I could see from the side of the dark glasses.
"I did." I nodded. "Did you?" I asked.
"If you consider someone knocking on my door at five in the morning, waking me up twice, a good sleep then yes, I had a good one." He sarcastically said and I laughed.
"Who was it?"
"I don't know?" He jokingly said. "Probably some girl I used to know." And for some reason, this sentence hurt me just a little bit and by a little bit I mean a lot, a lot to the point that my smile disappeared and I felt uncomfortable to be in the car with him.
I need to stop being sensitive around him.
But I didn't comment on it. I decided to ignore it because I had no reason to even be hurt. I know he knows a lot of girls, why did it matter to me?
