♡I groaned when my phone rang again. Can whoever is calling me stop? Because I'm trying to sleep.
"Rose." Someone called and I huffed, getting ready to yell. "Rose." He called again. Why is he so loud? And who— I opened my eyes, alarmed and looked behind to find Anthony at the door, shirtless with messy hair. "Someone keeps calling you." He pointed at the phone next to me. I blinked to be able to look away then sat down, wiping my eyes. I grunted and grabbed it, without looking, I grabbed my phone. It was an unknown number and that was when I realized that I have a new phone and no one has its number. I bit my lip, confused then put the phone back down. It was probably someone I don't know.
"You won't answer?" He asked and I shook my head, too sleepy to answer. "I made omelettes."
I looked at him again and smiled. "You know how to cook?"
He rolled his eyes and shook his head then turned to leave, leaving the door opened. "I won't eat without you." He yelled from outside.
I got up and changed my clothes, brushed my hair and my teeth and got out to meet him. He was still shirtless, sitting on the kitchen bar, looking at his phone. With his right hand, he was using his phone and the other was formed in a fist and holding his head up.
When he felt my presence, he looked my way. I saw two cups of coffee on the bar with two plates of omelette.
"You went out?" I asked as I took a seat in front of him.
"Nope." He put his phone down and his eyes following my every move. I frowned and pointed at the coffee on the table. "Oh, I ordered it." He joked. I blinked, waiting for an explaining but he said nothing, he just started to eat. "I just told someone to pass by and give it."
"Okay, rich boy." I said with my ugly morning voice and took a bite of his omelette. "Damn, it actually tastes good." I surprisedly said.
"I live alone so I need to survive on my own. Money can't get me everything."
"Oh, it sure does." I nodded, taking another bite.
"It doesn't get you." He was looking right through me when I looked up to meet his eyes. I bit my lips to hide my smile and took another bite from the omelette. "How was your sleep?" He softly asked.
"It was good. How was yours?"
"Your couch is incredibly..."
"Uncomfortable, I know." I finished for him. "It's your fault you fell asleep here."
"This apartment felt cozy so I fell asleep, plus—" he was about to say something but the door knock stopped him. I looked at the watch and read 8:00 AM. Nobody comes to visit at this time. I looked at him then got up to see who's at the door. I opened and it was Rita and Tia.
"Jesus, Bella!" Rita yelled. "What happened to your phone ringing and ringing and not answering?"
"Told you she doesn't die." Tia said, rolling her eyes.
I frowned. "You were the one calling on...my—" she cut me.
"New phone? Yes, I was. How did I get your number? I texted your boyfriend." Right when she said that, her eyes widen and her mouth opened as if she saw a ghost. I looked behind me to see Anthony...shirtless.
"I think we came at a wrong time." Tia said, putting her hands up in defence. I groaned, great, now I have to explain myself.
"I just crashed by yesterday, nothing much." He said, trying to fix the moment, but he didn't, he just made it worse.
"Excuse me?" Rita yelled at my face.
"Can you guys just come in?" I huffed and walked in to drink my untouched coffee. And it was cold, I love today. I explained everything to Rita and Tia and somehow, they were both so interested to know everything by details, even if there isn't no details to say. Anthony, on the other hand, just sat there, eating as if nothing at all is happening.
When it was time to go to school, Rita offered to drive me but I insisted to go with Anthony and even if he gave me the freedom to choose, he looked happy when I chose to go with him. Rita and Tia left and decided to meet at night after my shift and I agreed.
The ride to school was just me answering Anthony's question "who's Tia." For some reasons, he wanted to know everything about her when I barely know anything about her but I tried to give him the information he asked for. When I asked him why he was asking he said that he saw her before a couple of times and her name sounded familiar to him but he couldn't remember her. This whole situation was making me confused but I decided to slide it to the back of my brain.
We arrived to school and walked in together. As expected, a couple of eyes landed on us but we ignored it. We sat down in front of my locker.
"It's so weird not caring." He said, putting hid head on my shoulder.
"About people?" I looked down at him and he nodded. I smiled. "It's better not caring, caring is awful." I threw my head back on the locker.
"Rose," he started as I looked at him. He got in front of me and held my two hands. He sighed before saying "I know I haven't fully apologized—"
I stopped him. "No, Anthony—" but he didn't let me finish.
"No, let me finish." He gripped my hand. "I wanted to apologize for what I said. I really meant nothing from it all. I was angry and confused of who did it and...I had no one to blame but you and I shouldn't have but I can't change what happened. I know that you will never do something like that. It's childish and not like you, I bet—"
"Romeo and Juliet..."
I looked to see who interrupted and I saw Cameron. Great timing. I rolled my eyes.
"Well, I'm sorry for interrupting you two's cute little moment but there is something in the boys locker room that might be interesting for you to see." He pointed to the back as Anthony left my hand and got up to meet his level. Alarmed of any stupid moves Anthony could make, I got up too.
"What the hell...do you want from me?" Anthony's hands turned to fists and my own gripped his arm, not trusting the next words Cameron will say and obviously not trusting Anthony's respond to it.
"Oh, me?" He innocently said. My eyes almost sticked to the back of my head from rolling it so hardly. "I want nothing to do with you two." He crossed his arms.
"I don't get it." I yelled. It was my turn to have anger and from the raised eyebrows I saw on Cameron's face, I knew that he wasn't expecting that. "Weren't you two friends? At least that's what it looked like. Looks like someone here knows exactly how to be fake." I took a step closer to him, standing right in the middle of the two boys. "But you gotta fake yourself to get out with something. Hm? I wonder what you want to get, Cameron."
"I'm not doing anything but if you want to believe that I'm the one calling you names. I'm not the one sticking notes around school. if I was smarter, I'd actually look for who's actually doing so."
"Who's calling her names?" Anthony brought me to the back and grabbed Cameron by his shirt collar and my heart picked a way quicker beat than what I can handle.
"Oh did I break it out for you?" He sympathizingly said. "Someone wrote that you had to pay the girl for—" before be could continue his word, Anthony punched him in the face and I had no effort to fight him back, instead, I ran to the boys locker room.
"Rose," Anthony called right when I opened the door. I walked in, ignoring whoever was telling me not to and whoever was watching me do it. I looked at every locker that had the same paper sticked to it, with the same words Cameron cited, but with some small words added to it.
