"Ugh, Noah, I don't know if I can." I said as I sat down to tie my shoes. I was late, I mean what's new. I'm always late.

"Why not? Trust me, it's really good. I want you to go with me. I don't want to go alone." He said.

"But it's Anthony's cabin and I don't want to go." I responded as I took my bag and walked out of the apartment to leave for work.

"He's not even coming. He gave the key one of our friends and told them that he isn't going along. I don't want to go without. Come with me." He kept saying and I rolled my eyes, not knowing how to basically get rid of him asking me the same thing for so long. I don't want to go on any vacations, nor with Noah nor with anyone else.

When I walked out of the building, I saw Anthony's car, I frowned and blinked. I tried to look inside the car to see if it was him but he was sliding down his seat, probably for me not to see him. I almost laughed out loud.

"Noah, I will call you later, okay?" I hung up and walked to the car. I didn't even think about it. I knew that I needed to show him that I saw him stacking me. I opened the car and got in, without even looking at him. I could feel like eyes burning the side of my face as his cheeks flushed from what I was doing. Of course, he wasn't expecting for me to see him and even if I did, he never thought I'd get in the car with him after spotting him as he stacks me. "Drive me to the restaurant." I harshly said. I saw him nodding from the corner of my eye before driving away.

"So what now?" He finally broke the ice. I could tell that he took another street just to be able to have more time in the car with me.

"What do you mean?"

"Are we just going to act like we don't know each other?" He finally threw a little glimpse at me.

"Yes." I said. I didn't look at him but I knew he was looking at me, surprised from what I said. "Anthony," I sighed and closed my eyes to just puzzle my words and say what I want to say, "we need to be apart."

"What?" His tone was holding anger but I ignored it.

"You keep coming back to me after every fight we have and everything you do, we ignore it and laugh and all of sudden we go back to the same circle and pretend that nothing happened at all." I explained.

"So you're saying that being apart is the solution." He asked and I nodded. "Or is it because you want to spend time with him without being bothered?"

"Anthony," I warned and he gripped the wheel tighter to stay silent. "We could be friends." I shrugged.

"Friends, now you say." He raised his eyebrows.

"Yes but to be friends we first need to move on. The both of us. So we need time apart." I said.

He scoffed and shook his head, driving faster to get me there. Memories of me running back to him after everything he does each time he gets me mad, drove me insane. Before, it was an enjoyment for the both of us to push away the mess we are in by hiding it behind our laughter and pretend that nothing happened but now that I see the image from outside, I'd do anything to go back and actually tell him that it bothers me and he needs to do something about it.

"Thanks for the ride." I said then got out of the car. "You want to come take a cup of coffee with me? My shift doesn't start that early. I didn't plan on going with a car." I told him. When he didn't respond, I added "common, let's finish our talk inside."
