A N T H O N Y

The dance floor was all glowed with the different colors of the strobe that was held from the ceiling. The club was packed with people, dancing along the stupid music that the DJ played. I was here to have a closure for my summer. This is the last Friday of this summer. Not that we care, we party every week or so. Either we go to a different club or we plan a huge party in someone's house.

I took another quick glare on the dance floor and gulped the new shot that the bartender filled up for me. This guy was like a machine, right when I finish one, he fills it up again. I rolled my eyes, knowing that the more he puts, the more I will drink.

"You good, man?" Jace asked and I hardly heard him from the blasting music in the room. I guess I'm just good at reading lips.

I nodded even though I didn't feel good. I didn't feel the worst either. I was going to have fun either way. I looked back on the bar to find the shot cup filled up again. I shook my head but took it anyways.

"You don't look good." He said but turned his eyes back to the dance floor, ignoring me. I don't need any help from anyone, thanks. I can take good care of myself.

People here looked like animals and I refused to leave with a girl tonight. I always do when I party but this time, I counted it to be my night and my night only. Yeah, that's how excited I am to go back to college. Please, note my sarcasm.

A red-headed girl suddenly appeared in front of me and I almost spilled my new shot at her. You didn't have to scare me. She smiled at me and sat down on the bar chair right next to mine. Yeah, nope. Not today. I looked away, trying to send her a message that I am not interested, thinking that she will just let me go but somehow, I felt a hand laying on my shoulder. When I looked towards it, I automatically saw her face way closer to mine than I would want it to be, so I backed away.

I leaned down to her ear and whispered "I am not interested."

Her smile disappeared and she looked at me with so much envy in her eyes. Yeah, you just got rejected. I chuckled when she walked away, mad that I didn't leave her. I know that I have a reputation in this club but I was off tonight. I don't only have a reputation in this club, I basically have a bad one wherever I go. Not that I care, but this whole thing became so boring for me.

"Third? Yeah, the third." He yelled over the music then finished his shot. Cameron nodded at what he said and bought the shot glass to his lips.

"That's Anthony! He has what he needs to have and is never happy with it." Cameron said. He looked away then whispered "and we have nothing."

But neither me or Jace understood what he said. We were both too drunk to understand.

"It's the third, boy!" Jace yelled.

I frowned. "What?" I was so confused and the headache was already kicking in.

"This is the third girl you turn down tonight." Jace smirked, waving his hand at my pants. "Are you good, man?"

"I am!" I rolled my eyes and turned around to face the dance floor again. "I just need a break of this whole one-night-stand thing."

"Want to settle down or what?" Jace looked at Cameron and they both laughed at what Jace said.

I laughed. A girlfriend? For me? Hell no. I am not the type of person that would waste his time caring about someone that could be lying to him or cheat on him or leave him for someone else. I've seen my friends getting hurt and to say I was nowhere excited to be in their places was so convincing.

"I want a challenge." I want someone to make me have fun, to change my stereotype. A girl that isn't blond and barely wears nothing. I want someone new, someone to make me not get enough of her.
