Noah.
Of course it has to be him. He had to be the one handsome and superman that saves her and takes her to the hospital. He has to be the one saving her when I wasn't there.
I hit the wheel in frustration. Why every time I try to fix everything between us something has to happen to mess it all up. I speeded up a little more to make sure she was fine. How can someone you met make you think about her every second of the day? Since I met her, she is the only one I'm thinking.
My friends were right. I needed a girlfriend. I needed someone to settle down with. I got sick of messing around with different girls.
When I parked in front of the hospital, I saw her walking out with Dylan. She looked weak and he was the saver that was holding her arm, helping her to take down the stairs. I sighed to calm down and got out of the car, rushing to her side.
Her eyes looked up at me, approaching her. "Rose," I took two steps at once to get to her faster. I tried to hold her arm as she took one more step down but she pushed me away. "Are you okay?" I asked, pretending that this thing next to her wasn't there.
"What are you doing here?" He asked me and that's when I turned to look at me. That was when I noticed his presence. I shook my head and turned to her again.
"I'll drive you home, let's go." I said.
"Where were you?" She harshly said, sounding frustrated with me. I don't blame her but I didn't know what was happening. She didn't tell me. She didn't call me.
"I...I went to see—" I was going to explain myself but he interrupted me.
"Who were you with, Anthony."
I formed my hands into fists, trying to keep my calm and not punch him right now, so I looked back at Rose and ignored what he said.
"I went to see my father, Rose." I honestly said and she scoffed and shook her head. I could tell from her breathe that she drank. "Are you drunk?" I asked.
"Why do you care?" She said. "It doesn't matter to you, does it?"
"What?" I frowned. "Of course you matter to me, Rose. What are you even saying?"
"Anthony," she yelled, letting go of Noah's hand. "It doesn't matter to me. You don't matter to me anymore just like I don't matter to you anymore so you can stop lying now." I was so confused of what she was saying. "I know everything. I know where you were and who you were with."
"What are you talking about?"
"Anthony, I don't think she actually wants to talk to you." Noah said. I closed my eyes and tightened my fits. Calm down Anthony. Calm down.
"Can you mind your own damn business?" I said through my clenched teeth. "Rose, come with me and I'll explain everything."
She pulled away and leaned on Noah's arm to not fall. She leaned on him to stay away from me. That was supposed to make me mad but it only hurt. I felt like someone stabbed my heart.
"Rose, I...I don't get what I did. I don't know what they told you but this is all a setup. Trust me." I approached her. "Come with me and I'll explain everything."
She looked at Noah that was looking down at her, wishing she'd go with him and not come with me. But I knew she'd come with me. She'd choose me. After all, Noah can't top me. She can't pick Noah over me.
"Please, Rose." I added more pressure on her.
She sighed and let go of Noah's hold and walked away, approaching my car. I smirked, looking at Noah and shook my head.
