*Julian's POV*

We stopped over for gas. Alex got out to fill the car up and Jovani got out to pay. It was just y/n and I, in the back seat of the car.

Y/n wasn't facing me. She didn't say anything to any of us. I sighed. I need to talk to her before Jovani and Alex come back.

"Y/n, can I talk to you?" I asked. There was a long pause. Just as I thought she wasn't going to say anything, she spoke to me.

"Julian, I've said this a million times. I'm not getting back together with you." Y/n said, her back to me.

"That's not what I wanted to talk to you about. I wanted to talk to you about Ethan." I said.

She turned around and we made eye contact for a split second before she burst into tears. I came closer to her and wrapped my arms around her.

"This is all my fault. Your mom was right, I'm a terrible mother! No wonder she hates me!" Y/n sobbed. I kissed her forehead.

"She doesn't hate you. I spoke to her the other day when I came back from your place. She told me that she acts like she hates you because she wishes that nothing ever happened between us. She loves you, y/n. And she misses you so much." I said, cuffing her cheek and wiping her tears away.

"Tell her that I miss her, too. And that I love her." She said. I smiled.

"Now, stop saying bad things about yourself. You aren't a bad mom, you're an amazing mother. Just because your life includes some dangerous people, it doesn't mean that you're a bad person. We're going to get Ethan back and I'm going to teach those people a lesson." I said. She smiled and kissed my cheek.

*Jennis' POV*

I walked over to the Quads. Alicia was cradling Ethan, who was sound asleep. I dragged Alessia and Alfie into a different room so I could yell at them without waking up that horrible child.

"Where are they? They were supposed to be here 3 hours ago!" I yelled, as I slapped Alfie across the face.

"We have a tracker on the car. They stopped over at the Jara household and they later stopped at a gas station." Alfie said, as he held his cheek with his hand.

"Look, I can't deal with this baby any longer and none of you are helping! That's why Alicia and I decided to get a new recruit." I said, with a smirk.

Alfie and Alessia looked at each other with confused expressions before turning back to face me. They looked shocked, and somewhat betrayed.

The new recruit walked up to them from behind me and smiled at them. She's going to be a great help, I can already feel it and she hasn't even started working yet.

"Why would you hire her?" Alessia asked, a hint of anger in her voice.

"Because, she was recently involved with Julian. And she isn't very happy with y/n, or Julian. She can dish the dirt, she's known Julian for years." I said.

"I won't let you down." The new recruit said. I smiled at her.

*Your POV*

After about 2 hours of driving, the car finally came to a halt. The four of us looked out of our windows, at an old, prison like building in front of us.

"I think this is it." Alex said. I took a deep breath and turned to look at Julian.

"Ready to do this?" Julian asked.

"Yes." I whispered.

The four of us got out of the car and walked up to the building. We somehow found the entrance and went in. The four of us went in and found ourselves face to face with Jennis and the Quads.

"Fancy seeing you four here?" Alfie said. I looked at him with disgust.

"We didn't come for a conversation. We came for my son." I said. Jennis smirked at me.

"Speaking of your son, he's with our newest recruit. Come in!" Jennis called.

A figure wearing a black hoodie came in, Ethan was sound asleep in their arms. I squinted, trying to get even the tiniest glimpse of who was in that hoodie. I wasn't successful.

"This is our newest recruit. And she isn't going to be leaving any time soon." Jennis said. The figure lowered their hood. Julian, Alex and I all gasped.

"Leone?" Julian and Alex said, in unison. They then looked at each other.

"Wait, how do you know Leone?" They both said together, again.

"She's my ex girlfriend." Alex said.

"She's my stalker." Julian said. I was still in shock. Jovani was just confused.

"Hey, y/n. Long time, no see." Leone said, smirking. I glared at her.

"Shut the fuck up, Leone. Just give me my son." I said, in a cold and firm voice. Leone gave me a dirty look.

"If that's the way you're going to speak to me, then you can kiss goodbye to your precious little Ethan." Leone said. Jennis and the Quads came up behind her, all with nasty smiles on their faces.

"Oh, don't worry about him." Alfie said.

"We'll take care of him and make sure he has a proper childhood." Alicia said.

"We'll raise him the way his parents should've." Alessia said, glaring at me.

"And, who knows? Maybe, one day, he'll make a great sidekick." Jennis said, the nastiest look on her face. (Lmao, I got the sidekick part from the Incredibles 😂)

"My son will never be associated with any of you rotten fools." Julian said, with green eyes. He was definitely angry. His once tanned face was now red, his knuckles were white and his fists were clenched.

"It's not like you'll be getting him back any time soon." Alfie said, folding his arms. Jovani sighed.

"Look, when you guys released y/n, you promised to stay away from her and Ethan. What happened to that?" Jovani asked.

"We forgot to mention something. Y/n needed to stay the hell away from Alex in order for that to happen. And obviously, she didn't." Alessia said.

"How is that our fault that you didn't tell her?!? This is unfair, this stupid game that you're playing needs to stop." Julian yelled. Alicia laughed.

"Oh, Julian, sweetheart, haven't you realised? This isn't a game. This is real life!" Alicia said, her voice filled with anger in that last sentence.

"Really? Because I don't know anybody else apart from my friendship group that goes through so much fucked up bullshit in such a short space of time." I yelled.

"You want your son back? You can have him. I'm sick of hearing that thing howling all night long!" Jennis said.

"Get to the point." Alex said, sighing.

"To get Ethan back, we're going to need to do some business. We give you Ethan, and you give us Alex." Alessia said. The four of us gasped.
