Sadie’s POV
Monday morning and Sadie woke up in her pink Suburban bedroom. Another pointless school day. When will this year just be over! She thought rubbing her eyes groggily. School was out in a month and a half and her and her best friends were in their last year of high school. She flung herself out of bed and stood in front of her closet. “Hmmm, what will Zayn like me in?” said a voice from behind. Liam, Sadie’s twin brother. He was older, but only by like 2 minutes. “Shut up, Liam” she snapped. “What are you doing in here anyway?” “Oh dear little sister, Do you not love me?” Liam asked, smirking. Sadie pushed him out of the way and walked into her rubber duck themed bathroom. As she turned the hot water on in the shower she thought to herself. “What would Zayn like me to look like?” She stood in front of the mirror pulling at her face trying to make her nose smaller and lips bigger. She didn’t have to worry about her body, she was naturally slim, built just like her brother. Average sized boobs, tan skin, average height. She had long curly hair that naturally fell into perfect loose ringlets. It was burgundy because she wants to look the least like her identical twin brother. No use, she thought. I’ve liked Zayn forever and he knows it if he wanted me by now he would have me.
I walked back to my room, towel wrapped around my head and fluffy pink robe tied. I pulled on her favorite light blue denim playsuit and ran a brush through my long hair and sat down at my vanity and started my make up. Eyeliner on top and bottom lots of mascara and champagne colored lip gloss. Then I ran downstairs and grabbed a bowl and cereal and ate quickly. I hurried back up the stairs and ran a hair dryer quickly through my damp hair. I only needed the curling iron to touch up a few frizzy spots and I was good to go. Just as I finished her hair, I heard the doorbell.
Liam ran down the stairs, taking two at a time. It could only mean one thing, Kayleigh was here. She lived two streets over. He wrenched open the door to find Kayleigh standing there smiling warmly. “Kayleigh!” “Hey Liam” she happily replied. They gave each other a big hug as was tradition ever since birth. Kayleigh was a short, pale-skinned girl, with light brown straight shoulder length hair. She and Liam had been best friends since birth. Our moms were best friends and roommates in university. I couldn’t blame Liam though; it’s hard not to love the girl. She waved at me from the banister “One second” I called. I ran back into my room slipped on my cream colored cardigan, a feather necklace, and my brown sandals. I threw my school bag over my shoulder and walked down the stairs. Kayleigh and Liam were sitting at the kitchen table. Kayleigh was in a white mini skirt and purple top with matching purple flip flops. She always looked put together in a dress or skirt.
We all walked out the door and they hopped in Liam’s 1960 Ford Comet (he has a thing for fixing up old cars). I got in my red BMW convertible, a birthday present from my dad. We headed in opposite directions. They were headed to a café for breakfast as usual and I headed to “the hill”. It’s where all the rich people lived, up on a pedestal. I didn’t care though, these people always seemed so unhappy; except Niall, my best friend. He lives in what I would consider a castle. It’s the biggest house in the city. His dad owns a whole bunch of construction companies and works non-stop. His mom is mayor of the city and is always at some event.
As I drove up his massive driveway, I blasted Katy Perry, our favorite. I use her music as my horn and in seconds he’s out the door. I hop out of the car and give him a massive hug and a kiss on the cheek. “And how is my best friend this morning?” he said in his adorable Irish accent. “Good!” I say. He jogged down his drive way and past his 3 cars just for him. But he doesn’t act like he has so much stuff. He never brings cars to school because he would be so embarrassed if people knew how many cars his parents gave him. Therefore, I drive him to school every morning. He’s been getting one every birthday since he turned 15. I get back in my car and he jumps in the passenger seat. We head back to the suburbs. We stop at Louis’ house and he jumps (literally) in the back. Bella, comes out of her house across the street and gets in the back with Louis. Louis greeted Bella extra warm and kissed her on the cheek. Her curly blonde hair and green eyes look suspiciously at him. “Uhhhh ok” she said skeptically with an added eye-roll. “Don’t tell me that wasn’t a little enjoyable” said Louis winking at her. She started to blush but composed herself quickly. “Did anyone do the biology homework?” Me and Niall looked at each other and started laughing. I always thought Niall had the most adorable smile. Don’t get the wrong idea though! He isn’t my type. I started the car back up and we headed to school.
