It was funny shit.

When we got off the plane, we had an Uber pick us up- fans meeting us at the entrance asking Peep for pictures. But one girl had to call me out, "Hey ugly bitch"

Peep looked up, as did I- in her direction. She had bright pink hair, and very pretty- no wonder she had the balls to say that shit.

I looked away quick and get into the Uber, after taking a picture with another fan- Peep flipped her off and got in after me.

On the way to my mom's we had a laugh.

"She Sexy af fuck though" I say as we came to a stop, outside my home.

Peep nodded his head, "I'd fuck in a second"

I laughed, "me too"

On the way to my house, I showed him how to get to the bridge, "When you go down that street, just keep walking on your left side and you'll see the bridge start between two large bushes" I say as the driver took a turn down my street, passing a few house before we came to a stop.

We got out and he looks at the house I grew up in, "Must've been nice"

I take out our things, and picked up my stuff as he got his, "It was... when my dad was alive"

We went up to the door and knocked, a few times before she came to the door- and when she saw Peep, her eyes widen.

I wanted to laugh but kept that straight face.

"Your back, come on in" she says letting us through, "And who is this young man?"

"The guy I told you about, Peep this is my mom- mom, Peep"

They shook hands.

"Such a tall gentleman" she comment on his height, "You the first guy my daughter has ever brought home"

Great, make him feel so fucking special, mom...

"Ohhh" was all Peep could muster, being as he was when it comes to people he didn't know.

"I got some food in the oven-" my mom said, as she went back to kitchen. I grab Peep's hand, "Let's go put out stuff in my room"

"Mom! We're going up stairs to my room" I yell as we went up the stairs. On the last step up, with all my things and Peep behind me- I realized I was so out of shape!

Peep laughed, "Your breathing like we just had sex"

"Don't say that in front of the Virgin Mary" I say, motioning my head to the statue that was in the hall, sitting on the floor to my room.

I open my door and we go in, placing our stuff on my bed... as he looked around- seeing my photo board of people from high school, "This guy looks like a chump"

I laugh, walking up beside him- "That's Jason- the first guy I had sex with"

"Should've been me" he says.

"We'll be each other's first everything, when we reincarnate" I joke.

"Who's this?" He asked. I came up beside him, and saw the photo of the guy I met a year and a half ago,"Oh that's the guy I met on the bridge- remember I told you he gave me my first high?"

In the photo, he was looking out to the freeway- with the pink sunrise reflect in his eyes, and it's almost like you could see everything he wanted contained and expressed in the structure of his face. I'm guessing that why I kept it, now that I've thought about it.

"Where is he at now?" peep asked.

"I don't know, after that night I never saw him again- we were suppose to meet up on that bridge 2 days after that night- on my 19th birthday, but I didn't show up because my dad had a heart attack that night, what a birthday gift, right? But I do hope the guy's dreams came true, hopefully he's where he wants to be"

"Was that the night you found out about your dad's cancer?" He asked, overlooking my concerns about the guy I met on the bridge.

"Yeah, he kept it a secret- never told us- he just let it spread and radiation didn't work... the doctor told us he had a few months to live- and he was right- he died four months later, on a Monday morning, July 18th of last year"

Peep pulled up his phone, "That's like in 2 days, why didn't you say anything"

"I don't like talking about it, unless I feel someone is genuinely curious about what happen to him" I say, "But you know what?"

"What?"

"Despite how he might've felt that morning, on my birthday- he still managed to drive me down that freeway one more time- listening to all my favorite songs- and for that reason alone- I'll always be grateful"

As I said those words, I look at the rose my mom picked out for me, sitting in a vase- lifeless, because the water evaporated into it's stem, trying to keep it alive while I was away.
