    You pace nervously, biting at your thumbnail.

   It's already 7.

   He said he would be home by 6:30 to celebrate your birthday.

   You ruffle your hair, trying to dismiss the thoughts. Surely Seokjin wouldn't forget. Seokjin wasn't like that.

   Your phone lights up across the room. Immediately, you sprint across the room and snatch the phone off of the foot of your and Seokjin's bed, eager to read the text.

   Jinnie; gonna b late. gotta finish recording. dinner in fridge. love u.

   You sigh, throwing your phone back onto the bed. You understood alright, but that didn't stop you from feeling a little upset by the fact that Seokjin would be spending the night at the studio.

   I can't be upset that he has to work. It's what I signed up for when I said yes to Seokjin when he asked me out three years ago.

    Sniffling and wiping the tears that you were unaware had made their way down your cheeks, you sit back down on the foot of your bed.

     "Happy Birthday to me..."

   Your phone lights up.

      "Happy Birthday to me..."

   "Dinner with hyungs. Isn't it your birthday (Y/n)-noona?"

      "Happy Birthday dear (Y/n)...."

    He's at dinner.

       "Happy Birthday to me."

   You launch yourself off of the bed, dialing your best friend's contact into your phone as you grab your makeup bag and hair products.

   "Hello? (Y/n)! What are you doing calling me? I thought we were all gonna go out to dinner at 7:00 sharp for your birthday dinner?"

   "Yeah change of plans. Seokjin pissed me off. Get ready and meet me here at 7:30."

    Immediately, your best friend kicks into action and assumes the protective-forget-boys-fries-before-guys roll.

    "What should I wear?"

    "Make sure you look hot."

    Your best friend shows up at 7:30 on the dot, dressed in a tight dress with her makeup done. She smiles at you as you exit your large shared apartment with Seokjin in similar attire.
