"I genuinely, have absolutely no desire to do this." You say to your friend, examining yourself in your friend's standing mirror. She had managed to get you into a red bodysuit with high-waisted ripped jeans. It was very figure fitting, to say in the least.
And not exactly what you'd wear for a blind date that your friend set you up for.
Let's just say, your friend has a friend who has a single friend. Which in your friend's eyes, made him a perfect match for you; her single friend.
"Maybe you'll have a great time!" she protests, handing you a pair of black velvet heels. You groan, slipping on the heels hesitantly. You've at least made it this far. You might as well follow through.
"I don't see going on a lunch date with a stranger as a great time." You answer.
"He's super nice. You'll be fine! Maybe you'll even hook up!"
"Hook up?" You stare at her with a raised eyebrow.
"It's 2017. Anyways, he's going to pick you up in...." she picks up her cellphone, checking the time. It read 12:30.
"Now." She looks back up at your with a suggestive look on her face, her eyebrows raised. Abruptly, soft knocks fill the silent house, and your heart begins to beat about 300 beats per second. You knot your fingers at your lap, picking at the dark nailpolish that coated your fingers.
Your friend had really gone above and beyond to make you feel good about yourself, and impress your date. No matter how hard you tried to be upset with her for setting up a blind date with someone you don't know, you couldn't. She only wanted what was best for you.
Your friend skips out of the room, bounding down the short set of stairs that led to her living room. A few muffled voices spoke words that you couldn't decipher from where you stood in her room upstairs.
"(Y/N~!)" Your best friend sings from downstairs. You take a deep breath, and tuck your phone into the back pocket of the loaned jeans. Once in a stable-enough state of mind, you exit the room and descend down the stairs.
He stood in the doorway awkwardly, wearing a longsleeved black shirt and black jeans. He was tall enough, much taller than you as far as you could tell. A head of messy dyed-blonde hair was hidden under a black hat that matched the black-colored theme he had going for him.
You'd be lying if you said you weren't a degree of attracted to him.
"(Y/N), this is Min Yoongi. Yoongi, this beauty before your eyes is (Y/N)." She introduces the two of you. You smile at him, earning a heart-fluttering smile in return.
Little did you know, that one feeble lunch date would lead to something extraordinary.
