   He knew from the moment he had spoken the words that had been caught in his throat for weeks, that she was leaving.

    And there wasn't anything he could do to stop her.

   

    All he could do was watch as the woman he loved, turn away.

    To watch the girl he fell in love with.

    To watch the girl he ultimately broke.

    She spoke simple words. A mere nine syllables, and seven words.

  
    "You'll never have to see me again."

  
    He was broken. He'd always been broken. He was broken, damaged, from the start. Meaningless, really. A soul thay had lost it's way and was simply just...

    there.

   He shouted. Screamed. Blamed. Deflected. Pleaded.

    Cried.

    He cried for the girl who had made him whole. The girl who fixed him.

   

    "It's okay."

    "But I can't stay."
