    He thought you were the most amazing thing he'd ever seen. Truly, and honestly.

    Hoseok had grown up loving the theatre industry. Personally, he saw that it wasn't the actors, or the talented individuals who had discovered their rightful places were onstage, that made the show. Granted, they were a major factor. A solid fifty-percent of what is needed to make for true entertainment.

   It was the tech.  

   He loved being a stagehand. A tech. He liked being in the background, where it was safe; protected by massive and expensive lights that shone down on the actors or dancers.

    What he didn't love, was working in the dance industry.

     He was a dancer. He loved dancing, perhaps more than he loved being in the theatre industry.

   At a young age, he had convinced his parents to allow him to leave public and traditional school, in order to attend dance academy. It had a lot of academic pros, one being that it looked amazing on college applications for when dancers graduated dance academy.

   It was at this academy, that he met you. And, six others floormates of his that later  ended up being his best friends, and brothers.

    Hoseok loved watching dance.

    But not watching a certain dancer;

   (Surname) (Y/n).

   "Quit staring!" Taehyung hisses quietly, giving Hoseok a small shove, snapping the older out of his daze. He blinks, looking away from the talented dancer that was taking the stage by force.

   Platforms click against the scuffed stage mats, echoing throughout the massive auditorium. It was only a rehearsal, but you were still giving it over a hundred percent.

   Even though only Hoseok, Taehyung, and a few other stage hands and friends were in the audience.

   "Oh I'm sorry. Do you want me to miss the ques?" Hoseok glares playfully at Taehyung, who merely rolled his umber-colored eyes.

   "No. I mean stop staring at (Surname) like you want to dance with her." Taehyung elaborates.

    "Her partner is Jimi--"

    "Just start taking ballet, and I'm sure you'll be her partner." Taehyung reasons childishly.

     "Are you dumb? Her and Jimin have been dance partners since birth. No way me--a hip hop dancer at best--is getting in between that." Hoseok answers, completely disregarding his responsibilities as a tech.

    Taehyung opens his mouth, most likely to come back with some response about 'miracles' et cetera. The boy knew of Hoseok's minor crush on you, and seemingly spent every waking moment trying to get his hyung to talk to you for once.

    "Um, excuse me!" A new voice enters the conversation, startling both the boys behind the stage lights.

    You stood at the center of the stage, hands on your hips and your feet parallel.

   Any man in his right mind would immediately sense the danger here.

    "If the two of you are done talking about God knows what, I would like to continue my dance. And you missed the audio que." You say to the two boys.

    "Sorry (Surname)!" Taehyung shouts. Immediately, you smile up at the boy.

    "I could never be mad at you, Youngest Kim!" You shout back.

    Hoseok flushes, both embarrassed by you calling him out on his missed audio que, and you having a nickname for Taehyung.

    "I didn't know you and (Y/n) were friends?"

    "I take pas de deux with her, Jimin hyung, and Jungkook. Once you take a class or two with someone, you end up becoming friends. You should try it sometime. Maybe come out of that studio for once in your life." Taehyung teasingly suggests.

     "I--" Hoseok starts.

     "Coming out of the contemporary wing of the school to get food, sleep, and come to the auditorium don't count." Taehyung adds suddenly, immediately silencing the older male.
 
      "Damn it." Hoseok curses, and turns around to continue watching you dance.

    Neither of you knew then, in that moment, that you would eventually end up a little closer than an auditorium apart.
