The days had been so long. Even the nights had been so long too. It has been ten long days after the unfortunate and dreadful incident. Slowly, recovery and healing is embracing them all.

"Mommy."

Maine turned around when she heard the sweetest voice she had ever heard after she regained her strength. Ang pagtawag ay galing sa pinakamamahal niyang anak. Menard is with Charmaine. Parehong nakangiti ang mga ito habang papalapit sa kanya.

"Menard." she smiled at her son then turned to her older child and smiled at her. "Charmaine."

"How are you Mom?" Menard asked her.

"I am doing better sweetheart." nakangiti niyang sagot kay Menard. Charmaine nodded at her. Naiilang ito sa kanya. She understands her. Hindi pa niya kasi masabi na nagbalik na ang ala-ala niya.

Menard and Charmaine joined her in the lobby waiting bench ng ospital. They are waiting for Harry to be transferred from the emergency room. The man almost died when he took the bullet that was supposed to be for Maine. Critical ang naging condition nito. Luckily, a sign of  hope aroused when they reported movements of Harry on the eighth day while still on comma. After two days, the doctors were able to revive him.

Samantala, si Maine ay mas naunang nakalabas ng ospital dahil daplis lang ang tama ng baril sa kanya. Pagkatapos niyang lumabas ay hindi niya iniwan si Harry. She blamed herself for what happened to him. Moreover, walang mag-aasikaso dito dahil hindi nakaluwas si Tita Judith dahil napapadalas ang pag-atake ng ryuma nito kaya sinabihan ito ni Alden na huwag nang lumaluwas. And Maine is ignoring all the media platforms na humihingi ng interview dahil sa katotohanang buhay pa pala siya hanggang sa pagkakataong iyon. Isang malaking balita kasi ang pumutok sa muli niyang pagkalantad sa publiko.

Si Alden? He was busy on the case. He is doing his best to clear everything and to bring back their lives to normal. Wala pa silang matinong pag-uusap ni Maine. Hindi pa alam ni Alden na nagbalik ang ala-ala niya kaya naiilang ang lalaking kung magkausap sila. He is also trying to respond to the public for the issue na pumutok. Ang katotohanang buhay pa si Maine Mendoza.

And Yumi. Hindi na ito nakaligtas pa. Masyadong mataas na bangin ang nakalaglagan nito. According to the authorities who investigated on the case, Yumi's face is so broken that she is almost unrecognizable. Lumabas din na ang kasama nitong lalaki ay lover nito. He was known to be Alex Jackson. Ito ay walang iba kundi ang lalaking muntik na makagahasa kay Yumi noon. They found out that Yumi reached out to Alex when Alden stopped visiting her. He became her lover at sa lalaki siya nakakakuha ng ligaya na hindi niya nakukuha kay Alden.

Their relationships existed for so long kahit na may asawa si Alex. Yumi and Alex used each other. Ginagawa ni Alex ang lahat ng ipinapagawa ni Yumi, in return, she satisfies his sex addiction that his wife can't give him. Alex was a sex addict.

Yumi and Alex had hidden their relationship for so long until Alex's wife found out. Nalaman nito ang lahat nang mabasa nito ang mga exchanges of text messages ng dalawa. She knew of the plan on killing Maine. Imbes na magsumbong ito sa awtoridad ay gusto nitong gumalawa mag-isa. Blinded by jealousy, she decided to approach Maine. She bought a fake gun at iyon ang ginamit niyang panakot sa driver ni Maine. Unluckily, the accident happened that took her life. And Yumi was once one step ahead of her again.

Right now, Alex Jackson is in prison for countless cases of rape, attempted rape, murder, frustrated murder and homicide.

"Can I ask you a favor?" tanong ni Maine kay Charmaine nang mailipat si Harry sa private suite. Hindi pa ito nagigising mula noong malipat ito sa kuwarto.

"Sige po." magalang na sagot ni Charmaine.

"Si Bradley. How is he?"

"Ok lang naman po siya T-tita. Bakit po?" sagot ng dalaga na nag-alangan pa kung ano ang itatawag sa kanya.

She smiled briefly. Ayaw niyang pangunahan ang lahat. She wanted na dalawa sila Alden na magsabi ang lahat sa dalawa nilang anak. And she is yet to tell Alden that her memories have gone back.

"Good to hear. Maari mo ba siyang dalhin dito? And kindly bring her mother if possible. May mahalaga akong sasabihin sa kanilang mag-ina."

Nagtataka man sin Charmaine ay hindi na ito nagtanong pa. She just agreed to her.

"And please do call me Mommy darling."

Charmaine can't control the tears. "Mommy."

The next day, Charmaine was able to bring Bradley and his mother to the hospital. Ang ina ni Bradley hindi tumanggi. She saw the opportunity para makahingi ng tawad sa ginawa ng kapatid nito sa pamilya ni Alden.

"You must be Ariana." nakangiting sabi ni Maine nang dumating sa ospital sina Bradley at ang ina nito.

"Yes. I am." nahihiyang sagot ng babae. "I want to ask for apology for what sister had done to your family."

"Forget about it Ariana. You have nothing to do on what happened. Besides, pinatawag ko kayo dito para sa isang importanteng bagay."

Maine requested Charmaine, Menard, and Bradley to have a lone moment with Ariana. The three obediently obliged.

"What are you going to tell me?" nagtatakang tanong ni Ariana nang paupuin ito ni Maine sa tabi niya.

"I know everything about you Ariana."

Ariana gasped and looked at Maine disbelievingly.
