Jimin pressed his eyes shut as he realized what he had done. A small branch that fell from the tree above him was now under his foot, broken in half.
He opened his eyes, Min Yoongi staring intently back at him, mostly surprised by the blonde's sudden appearance. They shared eye contact for a few moments longer, not daring to break it or have to explain the situation quite yet. Yoongi let out a sigh that sounded like a relief.
"Oh, it's just you Jimin," Yoongi said, the name not familiar with his mouth, just as awkward as the words were to Jimins ears. Though he liked the way the man pronounced it and put an emphasis on the m as if it was foreign to ever hear that name. It had a ring to it that Jimin couldn't help but wish he could hear it again.
"I thought the serial killer that's been after me finally caught up."
Jimins eyes shot open as he noticed the seriousness but lack of panic in the man's voice.
"But, I guess not." Yoongi finished off almost sounding like a disappointment. Jimin looked around behind himself, somewhat regretting coming out here at such a dark time.
"Ah it was only a joke, you take things too seriously." He said in a puffy breath, almost coming out as a laugh.
"Your sense of humor is terrible," Jimin said taking a step forward, comfortable with how smoothly their conversation was going.
Jimin was terrible at keeping words flowing out of his mouth when talking to someone. He always had to think of the right words to say, which left both of them in an awkward silence. Though he was proud of himself that he didn't need to curse his introverted half, and was able to keep a nice flow to the conversation. The man seemed to be the only person he was able to do that with, even if most of the time they happened to be arguing over a dark red umbrella that was currently in Min Yoongi's possession.
"At least I have one." He said, no longer looking at Jimin. Jimin had remembered the first time he had seen him in the cold, pale face and red cheeks, and realized that wasn't just a one time occurrence. That not only that time but this one too, the man's cheeks were flushed a light red color that was most likely on Jimins face too.
Jimin remembered the sole reason he came out here and pulled the cup from behind his back. The hot liquid inside was letting off steam, disappearing out into the cold night.
Jimin hoped it was still hot enough to warm up the cold man text to him. He had already been out here for a couple minutes and prayed that it hadn't gone cold.
Yoongi's eyes were already on the cup in Jimins hands, the marshmallows melted.
Jimin held out the cup, averting his eyes slightly, not wanting to make direct eye contact with those lovely brown eyes.
"For me?" Yoongi asked, but ended up answering his own question by slowly taking the warm cup in his hands. Jimin liked the pleased look on the man's face as he observed what was in the cup.
Jimin didn't mutter a word, too busy enjoying the look of happiness on Yoongi's face when he took a large smell of the hot cocoa.
"What's with the sudden acts of kindness?" Yoongi said, stopping himself before he took a sip of the chocolate drink he couldn't wait to taste. Jimin shrugged, a little smile forming onto his cheeks.
