November 24 - Wednesday
~
Suddenly Yoongi came to a stop, which brought Jimin out of his dream-like trance from walking the last few minutes in silence.
They stood in front of a small, bright lighted convenience store, the bold letters strung with Christmas lights.
In Jimin's opinion, it looked almost low budget. Like if it didn't start getting more business, the small store would close down at any moment. It almost made him want to go inside and buy something just for the sake of the small store.
~
Jimin would be lying if he said he didn't feel his heart absolutely melt when the man came back outside- after being in the store for a painful amount of time- holding two cute coffee cups, that he was struggling to carry, and a bag in his hands.
Yoongi asked Jimin if he wanted to come inside with him, and when the blonde declined, he insisted that Jimin wait for him. So here Jimin stood, out in the shivering cold, his coat not enough to keep him completely warm.
Jimins eyes were wide, warmth spreading throughout his stomach as Yoongi looked away from him and handed him one of the cups, steam coming out from the sides of it like smoke.
Jimin liked the feeling of butterflies erupting from the pit of his stomach as Yoongi opened the bag and pulled out a muffin wrapped in a cute bow. Though he hated himself for liking it, because he barely knew the man with white hair, and getting to close without knowing him would just be setting himself up for disappointment.
"What is this for?" Jimin asked as he brought the small cup to his nose and sniffed it, the delicious aroma of something caramel and sweet hitting his nostrils
"I guess you could call it an act of reciprocation," Yoongi said a grin on his face as he knew that the blonde would know exactly what he was talking about.
And he did.
Jimin paused from smelling the cup full hot liquid to look at Yoongi, the little muffin still wrapped around his fingers. Jimin glared at him, noticing the mans use of his own words to make fun of him. Though It surprised Jimin that he actually remembered the exact way he said it the day he brought him cocoa.
Jimin let out a loud heaving sigh, mentally asking himself why he even bothered with the man with white hair. All Yoongi did was grin at him and take a sip of his own cup before making fun of the blonde once again.
"I suggest you find at least some type of humor and soon."
"Just answer the question," Jimin said rolling his eyes, and Yoongi couldn't help but laugh at Jimin's frustration.
"Well, you talked about how you never sleep, which is super unhealthy by the way, but eating before I work always helps me when I'm tired."
"But I could have bought it myself," Jimin mumbled to himself eying the food Yoongi bought him that sat in his small hands.
It wasn't that he didn't want it. It was just the whole "acts of kindness" thing that was a struggle for him. They happened so rarely that whenever they did, Jimin always felt obligated to make up the for the struggle that person had to go through. Especially since every one of them seemed to come from his white-haired neighbor.
"As if you actually would have."
"You don't know that. Maybe that's where I was headed right now?" Jimin said as he started walking again, holding his head up high.
