dear mom,
today's my birthday mommy!
i'm 9 today.
i'm going to be getting this huge cake with 9 candles on it.
the cake is going to be rapunzel, my favorite princess.
she's going to be leaning over a tower,
waiting for her prince to save her.
i'm also going to be wearing my bright pink dress
with some jewelry that daddy bought for me.
daddy said i could invite all of my classmates!
so, i invited everyone to come!
so far, only a few people are here.
but that's fine!
soon, everyone will be showing up when daddy's surprise comes!
mommy, i can't wait!
what could daddy's surprise be?
maybe a pony!
or a new dress?
daddy says that it took a lot of time to find
and that i'm going to love it a whole lot!
i can't wait!
i'm so excited!
oh, i have to go now mommy,
daddy's already coming over with this huge box
with a bright pink bow on it.
love,
ann
scribbled quickly on napkin and hidden underneath her dress.
