dear mom,
it was a raccoon??
it was really weird.
i didn't expect this sort of gift.
one of its eyes was popped out of its skull
and the other was just lying there
rolling along its face.
it also had this huge smile indented in its face.
and for some odd reason,
it really smelled of blood and death.
i ignored it though.
mommy,
this gift was really strange and weird.
but,
daddy gave it to me,
so i like it.
so i then took the raccoon into my arms
and hugged it tightly.
but, then i felt something start rolling down my shoulder.
i saw blood slimming its way down me.
the few people who were there at my party
started screaming and then they ran out of my house.
mommy,
why did they leave?
mommy,
how come nobody else showed up?
mommy,
why did daddy also leave after seeing how happy i was with his gift?
mommy.
i'm all alone now with nothing more but the few gifts next to me
and my raccoon friend.
why?
love,
ann
scribbled on card as she looks down at the raccoon and pats its head in silence.
