dear mom,

marcus fell into the water,

into the freezing icy lake,

water.

marcus fell into the water.

he's not coming back up.

the air bubbles are disappearing,

i can't hear his voice anymore.

he's dying.

he's drowning.

i need to save him.

mommy,

i dove into the water,

and even though it was freezing,

and i felt like i was going to die.

i need to only worry about one thing,

marcus.

i was searching the waters,

for him.

searching every part,

and even tried swimming deeper,

into the water,

in hopes of finding him.

he was nowhere to be found.

i came back up,

freezing.

i saw something close by angie,

and oddly angie wasn't moving.

she was still.

and that something was,

still also.

i quickly started to run over to her,

ignoring the cracking noise behind me,

to find what that something was,

and why angie wasn't moving.
