Dear Mom,

news

dear mom,

a few weeks have passed since my last small letter.

and i decided to rest on the couch,

that was for parents who wanted to adopt,

where they sat down and watched tv.

i turned on the tv,

and saw the news pop up,

i was about to change it,

since the news always brought my day down.

when i saw the picture of aaron,

shining brightly on the screen.

my eyes wandering to the screen,

the next image showed up,

and right in front of my eyes,

was aaron's lifeless body.

next to his body,

laid a bottle of pills,

and a piece of paper.

i watched as the news cast read it out loud,

"i'm sorry ann."

i quickly shut down the tv,

when benedict came over,

and saw the tv screen off.

he then saw me shaking,

and clutching my head.

"can i watch tv?"

i looked up at him first confused,

but then nodding.

he turned the tv back on,

and watched the news.

when he saw the image of aaron,

he looked over at me,

and came awkwardly close to me,

before patting my back.

it was strange.
