dear mom,
benedict went to the doctors, and when he came back, he had this blank expression.
"you were right ann."
i was still in the state of distress so i just stayed in a corner as he talked to me, he basically stay still in the doorframe.
"ann you don't have to be afraid of me. jack isn't here at the moment, i'm fighting him to make sure he doesn't come out and do something."
he stayed there and then i saw him clutching his head, starting to shake his head in fear.
"they told me i was a just a personality for jack. that i really wasn't real, that jack instead was real."
i watched him for a few seconds as i saw him look up and have this crazy look in his eyes.
"how am i supposed to react to that ann? how am i supposed to live my life knowing that there's somebody else who is always going to be pushing out and being in control?"
i stayed silent until he started to laugh a little before i saw tears straining down his cheek, i saw him hiccup before he shook his head.
"ann you were right. i'm not even real! i'm nothing but a small fragment of existence."
"oh gosh, how am i going to be able to tell iz? what if jack comes out an destroys our relationship ann?!"
his tears were pouring down his cheek.
i awkwardly got out of my spot and walked over to benedict before wrapping my arms around him.
"it'll get better benedict. you're not a small fragment of existence, you do exist benedict. and i promise you iz will understand and not leave you."
he let go of me and smiled awkwardly before wiping his eyes.
"they told me that jack got me when his parents abandoned him. that because of his parents leaving him that jack started to have the symptoms of multiple personality disorder."
"they told me to let jack be in control, and when i let jack be in control, i don't even know what he did."
"i'm scared ann. i don't want jack to hurt you again."
and then he started to cry again.
he told me how he was there to see it when jack pushed me off the school building, that he was there when jack was making me feel uncomfortable.
he told me how he was trying to fight jack to let himself be in control but it never worked, jack fought back.
i wrapped my arms around him once more but a bit tighter.
"it's going to be okay benedict. we're still friends. i don't hate you."
love,
ann
