Dear Mom,

shining armor

dear mom,

i woke up to find myself in somebody's arm.

i started panicking, terrified of the arms belonging to daddy.

but soon the arms that were wrapped around me started loosening

and i felt small shapes being rubbed onto my back.

i looked up and saw cedric telling me how everything was going to be okay.

how he's here right next to me and that i'm safe. 

that i'm safe from the thunder,

from the lighting,

from everything. 

he told me how i was fine. 

how when i was asleep, 

he fought off all the bad things in this world. 

that he fought off the thunder

and lighting.

mommy, is cedric my knight in shining armor?
