Dear Mom,

awkward date thing

dear mom,

so when cedric was driving us back home,

i kept looking at my phone,

deciding rather or not to text adam,

and also looking at the time,

which was now 6pm.

cedric caught me fussing over my phone,

that he grabbed it and tucked it into his pocket,

leaving me with my jaw widen.

"cedric!

give me back my phone!"

i whined practically.

he shook his head telling me how i wouldn't get my phone back,

that and he told me i needed to finish my homework.

great,

first my phones gone,

and now homework!

i was in the state of explosion of emotions,

when my familiar phone ringtone started to ring,

i was exicited to know who it was,

that was until cedric pulled my phone out,

answered it while keeping his eyes on the road.

"hello?

yeah this is cedric."

i could hear the muffling sound of another voice,

but i couldn't figure who it was.

"oh hey adam.

hm?

yeah ann is here,

what you need?"

"oh cool,

you want to take her out for a soda.

yeah of course it's fine,

it's just a friendly get together.

just make sure she doesn't come back home all messed up and such."

"oh yeah and she has a sweet tooth, so watch out for that."

he whispered into the phone,

but loud enough for me to hear.

when cedric handed me my phone back,

he told me that adam was coming over at 8 to pick me up for some sort of soda get together.

i sort of knew since it was written on the card thing.

"be careful alright.

don't want what happened the past few years at that last get together,

to happened all over again."

i gave him a huge hug and told him i would.

this time i'm bringing a rain coat,

just in case of another paint incident.

when we got back inside the house,

Cedric's aunt and uncle were asleep,

so around 8 just like adam promised,

he showed up in normal clothes.

"hey."

and awkwardly like that,

i waved bye at cedric,

who gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek,

before i went into adam's mustang.
