An overwhelming urge to run
To end what may as well be done
To stop pretending this'll ever be won
That
Is
DepressionAlone in a room that's packed like sardines
Giving up on useless wishes and dreams
Knowing you're coming apart at the seams
That
Is
DepressionAware you'll never do anything right
Watching all hope slip farther from sight
Trapped in an everlasting night
That
Is
DepressionBelieving that no one could ever care
Knowing you're screwed up, always aware
Floundering, sinking, gasping for air
That
Is
DepressionTrapped behind apathetic bars
Wishing you could remember the stars
Sleeves to cover unfading scars
That
Is
DepressionPatterns of red my blood will make
Across my skin the knife will rake
This is my life, to keep or take
This
Is
