We enter the building, up to the third floor taking the stairs because the elevator is still out of work. I hear Louis curse in front of me what makes me chuckle. He turns around, a smile playing on his pink lips. "What are you laughing at?" I take one more step so I'm on the same as Louis. Still he's towering above me. "You." I smile and walk further in front of him. He stands still for a few seconds before catching up on me so he's just behind me.
"You know you're torturing me now right?" He asks. As I turn around I see a playful but cheeky smile on his face. I shake my head in disbelieve. "You are unbelievable." I say and he laughs. "Well you can go first then." I offer and go to the side. "No it's good, I like the view." I playfully swat his head before walking up the stairs. I ignore the little laughs that escape Louis' mouth.
As we reach apartment number 17 he seems to remember he forgot his keys inside so if Alison or Harry locked the door we have a small problem.
Louis knocks the door and when nobody answers he knocks again, much harder now. I'm sure he woke some neighbors up. "Harry ope. This door!" He yells. On the end of the hallway a man opens up his door and appears in the hallway, shooting a glare at us. "Thanks for waking our baby! No seriously thanks a lot!" He sarcastically yells towards us. I can see Louis is fighting his smile as he answers. "Oh you're welcome!" The man abruptly closes his door and Louis lets out a small laugh.
"So what do we do now?" He asks the door in front of him.
"I'll call Alison." I state and grab my phone. But before I can press the green button Louis takes it from me. "What is this? You still have one like this?" He asks wondered.
"Yea no hate." I say and take my Nokia from him. When I call Alison she -what did you expect- doesn't pick up her phone. Great.
"Nope." I say, dropping the p.
I don't know how to act around Louis anymore. Is he a friend or is he more? We kissed two time now and of it was for him we would be together. But I don't know what I want or what I feel or what to think. I love being near him and when he throws his arms around me I feel like I'm in heaven on earth but then there is that little voice in my head that tells me to back off. It scares me but something inside of me, a tiny part says that this isn't right. I'm such a bitch actually, I know what Louis wants and I don't know what I want but still I kiss him and sleep on his lap and everything. It isn't fair towards him. I need to make up my mind for the sake of both of us. The bigger part of me feels happy with him and doesn't listen go Liam or Zayn. The bigger part wants to be with Louis as much as it can but damn that tiny mini part makes me doubt about everything that's going on with me right now. With us. Louis' words are so clear though, so sure. And so convincing.
"Great," he mumbles. His right hand runs through his brown quiff. "Then it's only the two of us." He smiles. I smile back at him, nothing meaning by the smile. I just try not to make him notice that something is going on.
"What are we doing now?" I ask him. He gets up his shoulders and lets them down. His black Vans carry hem towards the stairs next to the defect elevator. He sits down and leans with his arms on his knees. I sit down next to him, leaving enough space between us, as much as possible on these small, old stairs.
"Do you fight a lot with the neighbors?"
"No, well not with all of them. That guy, his name is Ed, his wife just gave birth to their son, Timmy, three weeks ago and know I think he may believe this was the biggest mistake of his life."
"How so?"
"That kid is or crying or eating. They have no second for themselves. No wonder he gets angry when that monster is finally asleep and I'm yelling here in the hallway."
