*Louis's POV*
"Louis pay attention dear." The woman in front calls me out, don't know her name. A few girls in the back giggle. Normally I would have turned around and winked but now I just roll my eyes and nod towards the teacher. "Thank you." She says and goes on with her class. Time creeps by and on the end of the day I see Maddy, leaning against the wall, talking to that Calum-friend of hers. I can't help but jealousy finds it's way up. I always wondered why people like her so much, everybody seems to be friends with her. But now I know the answer to that. I walk closer to her and when she sees me she says goodbye to her friend and smiles as she walks towards me.
"How's my favorite girl?"
"Starving let's grab something to eat." She groans. I laugh and wrap my arm around her shoulder. I find myself forever staring at the happiness in her eyes and the crinkles by her mouth when she talks.
"Pizza?"
"Ohhh yeah." She laughs and I join her. I love making her happy with the little things, she's so adorable, freaking over a damn pizza like a little kid and I just love everything about it.
"Let's go then." I say, pulling her along with me down the stairs, down the street to the small pizzeria in town.
"I love this place." Madison speaks quietly, her eyes scanning the room. We sit down at a little table in the middle of the room. We're alone here except of one other couple sitting in the front of the restaurant. We both order a pizza and a drink, while waiting Maddy and I talk, our hands touching on the table.
"So tonight you're going to that concert of your friend?"
"Yeah, Calum promised me a front row seat, he owes me for driving him."
"You're going alone?"
"No, well they are there and Caleb is going too." She says. I swallow by hearing his name, I didn't forget his threat. "But I think I'm asking Ali, it's been so long since we went out together." She goes on.
"Oh yeah, good idea. She'll like it."
"You could join us if you want?"
"No thanks, that's not my style. I'll hang out with Harry meanwhile."
"You sure?" She asks.
"Yeah, enjoy yourself. You deserve it."
The waiter brings our food and drinks just when Maddy's about to answer. We both finish our plates while talking. Her being so open seeming new to me, the first time she's constantly talking and smiling and I just love it. She's so open with me, like never before. Maybe I just didn't take the time to notice. She puts a few strings of her hair behind her ear before taking a sip of her soda. "What do you think about marriage?" She suddenly asks, me almost spitting my drink all over her in shock.
"Uh- what?"
"I think it's cute, the dress, the church.. Promising each other loyalty forever." She says like she's dreaming.
"Uh yeah.. I don't think it's necessary. When you love each other that's great, then you stay with each other but why waste so much money on a wedding when you aren't even sure that person is never leaving?" I never even thought about marriage. Hell I didn't even thought about dating why is she asking me this?
"Don't you think you can be sure someone will never leave?"
"No, I don't think so. You think you know people and then they surprise you." I sigh, referring to the man I used to call 'dad' and she knows it.
"I think that sometimes you can." Her sweet voice sounds. Letting me want to kiss her instead. Her innocence and never ending trust is just something I'm jealous of. I'm not capable to trust people easily and I'm not innocent at all. "So you'd never get married?" She asks.
