*Maddy's POV*

I open my eyes, but close them the second after. The light that's coming through the window is burning in my eyes, of course I didn't think about closing the curtains yesterday, or should I stay a few hours ago. I was too busy with getting three drunk friends safe in their bed.
I slowly tilt my head and lift myself up. After wiping my eyes I stand up and close the curtains. Alison was wasted last night and she probably needs some more sleep. I hope she doesn't remember what happened, I hope nobody does. But seeing Ashton drinking soda too.. Wasn't prepared for that. He absolutely didn't forget.
After washing my hair and shaving my legs I put my hair into a messy bun on the top of my head. I put some sweets on and a baggy shirt and sit down on my bed with some magazines.
Time flies by and after an hour of reading magazines and books I decide it's time to get myself some coffee. I don't mind being alone actually. I pretty enjoy being on myself now and then. I change my sweats into a jeans, keeping the baggy shirt.

I walk in the coffee shop, no Ashton to be seen behind the pay desk but I do see my dark haired friend sitting in the corner, hot coffee in his hands. I order my ice coffee and sit down next to him without asking. "You here? I thought you'd be sleeping the day away." I smile. He puts his cup down, "could ask you the same." Calum answers. "Caleb isn't waking in the next five hours I guess." He shrugs. "I know," I answer, "Ali neither."

"So you have plans today?" I ask him. He waits a moment to answer. "I'm passing by at Ashton's today. I think he needs a talk."
"Greet him from me." I ask.
"I don't think that's a good idea, Mad." I look at him, only now realizing how much I hurt his friend's feelings. I ruined a possible friendship with Ashton and I didn't want to upset him, but that's exactly what I did. I'm so cruel! What was I thinking? It wasn't just a kiss for Ashton and I knew it, he just confessed his crush on me and then I kiss him like it's just a game.
"You're angry with me now aren't you?" I ask Calum, afraid of the answer he might give. I wouldn't blame him though, I hate myself for doing it.
"I'm not angry with you. I know it was the moment and the groups pressure and you didn't have bad intentions but you did hurt one of my best mates."
"I'm so sorry Calum."
"Don't apologize to me." He says. I nod multiple small nods, pushing some hairs that fell out of my bun back in frustration. "But I'll talk to him. I'm sure he isn't mad, he just needs some time to get over this."
"Thank you." I whisper.
"Look I'm pretty sure the others won't remember that kiss so let's act like it never happened." Calum says. "Also Louis can't find out and he won't hear anything from me."
"Thank you so much Cal." I sigh, wrapping my arms around him.
"What would you be without me?" He jokes, smiling into my hair.

"That's fantastic!" I yell and burry Louis is my arms. "She'll be so happy to finally hear your voice after four years."
"I hope so." Louis says, running a hand through his hair.
"You don't know how happy this makes me." I smile, Louis wanting to call his mom after so long is the best news I got in ages. He thought about it and it seems worth the try.
"If she doesn't want me in her life again I'll at least know. Then I can't blame myself for not trying."
"That's not gonna happen, I promise." He looks down at me, pressing a small kiss on my lips. "Let's do this." He takes his phone and scrolls through his contacts. When he finds her name he looks at me again. "You can do it." I say and cross my fingers. "I'm here." He nods and takes a deep breath before pressing the call button. When the phone goes over he takes it away from his ear. "I can't do this." He says and wants to give his phone to me. "Of course you can! I'm here okay." I say and softly push his hand back. He nods again, bringing the phone back to his ear. "I feel better with speaker." He says and puts the speaker on so I can listen with him.

"Hello?" It sounds from the other side. "Who is this?" The friendly voice asks what gives us the security she deleted his phone number what breaks my heart. "Hello?" The woman asks again, Louis freezes by hearing her voice, staring at the screen. "If this is another fake call this isn't funny anymore."
"Mom." He says then, suddenly the voice on the other side freezes too. "Mom it's me." His raspy voice sounds so broken.
"Louis?" The woman asks, her voice betraying she's about to cry. "Is that really you? Am I dreaming?"
"No mom, it's me." He says, a tear rolling down his cheek. I take his biceps in my hands, putting my head on his shoulder.
"Why- How- How are you baby? I missed you so much!" She cries.
"I'm good mom, great even." He says while looking at me with a small smile.
"Louis I missed you so much, I'm so happy to finally hear your voice, I prayed for this every day."
"How is Rosie?" Louis asks, his voice trembling.
"She's great, she's going to school now." His mom says. "But she missed you so much. Every time someone called she'd ask if it was you." His mother cries. A tear rolls down my face, same with Louis.
"Mom I missed you, I- I want to come home." Louis stutters.
"Of course dear, you are welcome 24/7." She cries but I can hear her smiling through her tears.
"Can I come today?" He asks. "Of course, we can get Rosie from school together."
"She won't recognize me." He states.
"No, she was two Lou, but when you tell her who you are she'll pull you in her arms. She still asks about you every day Louis. I need to tell you so much and you me! This changed so drastically now your brother left the house too, he's going to college now." I frown by her words, Louis ignoring my gaze. "I know mom." Louis answers. "You- you spoke to him?" She asks. "Mom it's difficult, we'll talk about that another time."
"Of course."
"Did you talk to dad?"
"No of course not, I know I was mad at you at first but I never had the chance to tell you that you did the right thing." She says, causing Louis to drop a tear again. "He is where he belongs now, in jail. And he isn't getting anywhere else anytime soon."
"I gotta go mom, see you this afternoon."
"Can't wait." She sighs.
"Can I take someone with me, I want you to meet someone." He smiles at me, wrapping me in his arm.
"Of course, I want to know everything about your life now."
"See ya mom."
"See you, I love you Lou."
"I- I love you too mom."
