*Maddy's POV*

I walk out of the classroom of my last hour of today with a more than relieved feeling. I thought my first day of school would have went different. Crazy even how things went today.

I swing my bag over my shoulder and head towards my dorm to drop my bag and take a quick shower. I adjust my make up and just when I'm ready to go, the door of my dorm swings open. Alison walks in, her hair going up and down with her fast paces.

"Harry said you and Louis will be gone tonight?" She asks with an annoyed and almost angry voice.

"Good to see you too." I say and put my bag on the bed.

"Look at us Maddy, I thought college would be something we'd do together. We didn't even talk the whole day and school only just started."

"Alison I.."

"No let me finish!" She interrupts me with a shaking voice. "I heard you went for lunch with Caleb and a new friend and I'm completely cool with that but.. I just thought this would be something of us you know, going for lunch together like we're used to. I don't want us to be one of those friendships that ends after high school."

"Wow stop! Our friendship isn't ending okay? We just didn't have classes together today. You slept at Harry's place and I didn't see you today.. That's no big deal okay? You have your boyfriend and I have mine but that doesn't mean we can't stay best friends." I say, shocked about the past few minutes. "Alli?" I ask when she remains silent.

"What about your new friends?"

"Caleb is your friend too? And we know him since god knows when. And Calum, I met him this morning after my first fight with Louis. I didn't even save his number yet. Stop worrying, nothing is coming between us."

She lets out a breath and sits down on her bed. "I'm sorry, I was overreacting." She says. "I just missed you on my first day."

"I know the feeling." I say and sit down next to her. "Come here." I say and wrap my arms around her slender body. "Stop worrying, we'll be fine."

"Yeah, we will." She whispers like she's convincing herself.

"Look I have to go, I'm so sorry but Louis will be.."

"No it's fine, I understand." She smiles. "I left you so often for Harry and I'm sorry for that."

"It's okay." I say. She weakly smiles but her grey eyes tell me different things.

"I'll see you tomorrow." I say and kiss her forehead before walking outside.

Louis' black car is already waiting for me outside the building. He lets the window down and lifts his hands in the air with an asking expression on his face. I open the door of the passengers seat and fall into the seat. I let out a deep breath before talking.

"Alison had a little breakdown and I was just calming her before I left I'm sorry you had to wait."

"It's okay." He says shortly.

"You do believe me right?"

"Of course."

"Then what's the problem?"

"Nothing."

"Louis I know that.."

"It's nothing okay? Drop it." He says, his blue eyes focussing on the road. "Look I'm not mad okay. It may seems like it but I'm just numb. I don't know what to feel, not only about you."
