Suddenly a way too loud noise wakes me up. The irritating sounds ends up being my phone. Who is calling me at six in the morning? I frown as Alison's name appears on the screen. Why would she be calling me on a Saturday morning? Normally she sleeps until noon.

"Hello?" My raspy morning

voice asks.

"Mad are you still asleep?"

"Not anymore.."

"You have to wake up! You need to help me choosing what to wear to my date with Harry and you have to take me there."

"Wow wow, I have to take you there in the afternoon."

"Just come over okay?"

"Fine." I grumble and put my phone away.

I put my black converse on and old but so comfortable jeans after a short shower. A small breakfast is enough, I have to take care of my body more often or I'll get fat. Another thing to be jealous of: Alison can eat what she wants and never gains wait. In contrast to me.

I should go for a run more often.

You know what, I'll run to Alison's house. It's not far and I will be happy for myself if I did it.

I jump out of my jeans and replace it by grey yoga pants and a white top.

"And where do you think that you are going?" My heart jumps from the words my dad spoke. He's still wearing his pajamas. The brown haired men saunters towards the sofa with a cup of coffee in his hands. "Huh?" He adds as I don't respond fast enough for him.

"To Alison's house." I say.

"In these clothes?"

"Yes, I'm going to run."

"This early?"

"Yes she needs me."

"For what?"

"That is none of your business." I answer shortly.

"Madison Grace you have secrets for me?" He asks on his strict tone.

"No I don't." I lie. I have more secrets for him than his muscled shoulders can wear. That's what you get, strict parents create sneaky children.

"We're just going to work on our project for school, you know the photography project."

"Why on this hour?"

"Why so suspicious?"

"Madison I warn you."

"No, no. Ray I warn you."

"Enough! You're staying in."

"No I'm not." I say firmly.

I head towards the door, ignoring my father's screams. He's changed since my mother's dead. It's ironic how he became the opposite of person he was a few years ago.

I put my headphones on and start running. I put all my thought on a row and clear my mind. There is too much going on right now. Alison and her Harry, her pushing me to get a boyfriend, my father's behavior because my mother's birthday is soon and just the fact that school almost starts drive me crazy.

A black and very familiar car slows down next to me and seems to follow me. It wakes me up from my thoughts and makes me running a bit faster. I'm almost there.

The car pulls up and as fast as he pupped up he disappeared again. Weird.

...

"So this is what I'm thinking." Alison shows me a few outfits. She has the perfect body and the rich she is has damn much clothes.

"I like this one." I point to the little pink blouse with white buttons. It will look cute with her blonde hair and tanned skin.

She tries it on and look at herself in the mirror with a satisfied smile on her face. She looks gorgeous and she doesn't even need to try.

She puts jeans shorts on and her white converse.

"It's gorgeous." I vocal my thoughts. "But did I really have to get up this early? I only have to take you in like seven hours."

"Yes Maddy! I need to do my hair and make up and eat something and later brush my teeth."

"And you need me for...?" I trail off.

"To be here with me." She gives me a nervous but so adorable smile.

"Oh come here." I pull my friend against my chest.

"Don't forget your perfume." I say into her hair and I can feel her smile forming on my shoulder.

"See, I need you." She says.

"I know I'm stupid for asking but are you going to the party tuesday?"

"Well uhm I guess not." I try to smile but I fail, and I don't even mind.

"Come on Mad.. School almost starts."

"I know but you know how he is."

"Yes I do, but you know how I am right?"

What does she mean by that?

"Yes I know you, unfortunately."

She ignores my remark and goes on.

"Soooo.. Maybe you can go with me." The smirk on her face isn't a good sign.

"Alison? Speak up."

"Maybe I can steal you and take you with me in secret."

"No Allie no.. I already know how that will end up."

"Come on Mad, don't you ever have fun or adventure in your life?"

"No I don't."

She rolls her eyes.

"I know you want it."

"Yes I want to go but I don't want to lie to my father, he would be devastated."

"So you're in?"

Is she even listening?

"No Allie I'm not."

"Pleaseeee.. You can't let me go alone and risk I sleep with a stranger again." She's provoking me and she knows it damn well.

"You are unbelievable."

"Yess, so that's arranged then." She says satisfied and turns to her make up case to put mascara on.

That girl literally gets everything done what she wants. Everybody is wiped around her finger whenever she wants.

...

"I'm stressed out." Alison says while checking up herself for the hundreds time in the little mirror of my car.

"We're here." I say. Her eyes dart to the front of the coffee shop.

She gulps and looks back at me.

"Alison you already slept with him."

I can't get why she's still nervous.

"I know but what should I say?"

"Just hello and see where it brings you." Why am I even giving advice?

"Okay." She says not convinced.

"Hurry up or you'll be too late."

"Thanks, I love you so much." She pulls me into an embrace before leaving the car and waving a last time.
