Chapter 37 Start Of Junior YEar

Monroe is leaning against the stair railing scrolling through her phone waiting for her friends to arrive. "Monroe" she hears a feminine voice yell and looks up. Monroe sees Vanessa running at her. Vanessa leaps at Monroe and Monroe catches Vanessa. Vanessa wraps her arms around Monroe's neck and legs around her waist. Monroe keeps her balance and holds her close. Monroe just laughs and says, "You literally just saw me yesterday."

Vanessa says, "Ya, but that was like forever ago and I missed you." Monroe continues to laugh and put Vanessa down. Vanessa asks, "Didn't you miss me?" "Um no" Monroe says, "Like I said I literally just saw you yesterday and knew I was going to see you today." "Rude" Vanessa says and Monroe just laughs. Ericca and Ariella walk over to them. Ericca and Ariella smile at them. Monroe and Vanessa smile right back at them.

"Hey" Monroe says. "Hey" Ariella says. "What's so funny" Ericca asks. "Just the usual, Vanessa just being Vanessa" Monroe says. "Wait where's Estella" Vanessa asks, "You and her always come together." Monroe rolls her eyes and says, "She had to make her queen bee appearance." "Typical Estella" Ariella says. Ericca asks, "Have any of you gotten a text from E yet?" "Not yet" Monroe says. "Same" Vanessa says. "Radio silence" Ariella says. "Nothing either, so that leaves Estella" Ericca says.

They hear a commotion. They turn around and see Estella making her way through the crowd towards them. The guys checking her out while the girls glare at her. Ericca, Ariella, and Vanessa are talking amongst themselves while Monroe can't take her eyes off of Estella. "Hey girls" Estella says smiling when she makes it over to them. "Hey" Ericca says smiling. "You have to let me borrow that top sometime Estella" Vanessa says. Ariella says, "Class is going to start in seven minutes and we still have to organize our lockers." "Relax we got plenty of time and sure Vanessa" Estella says.

Ariella, Ericca, and Vanessa walk in together. Estella and Monroe are right behind them. "Hey Monty" Estella says flashing her famous DiLaurentis-Fields smile. "Hey El" Monroe replies smiling. "You can stop drooling now" Estella says. Monroe says, "How can I when Aphrodite herself is standing right next me?" "Such a charmer" Estella says slightly blushing. "Only for you" Monroe says. They all find their lockers. Monroe and Estella are next to each other. Ericca and Ariella are next to each other across from Monroe and Estella. Vanessa is a few lockers down from Ariella and Ericca.

They are at their lockers getting everything organized. Someone covers Monroe's eyes. "Ok, whoever it is, it isn't funny" Monroe says. "Guess who" a feminine voice says. "No way" Monroe whispers. She uncovers her eyes and turns around. Monroe is in shock. "Surprise" Kayla says. "Kayla" Monroe says, "I missed you." "I missed you too." Kayla closes the gap and kisses Monroe. After a few seconds Monroe pulls away and says, "Restraining order-" Kayla ignores Monroe and captures her lips again.

Once again Monroe pulls away and says, "I could be arrest-" Kayla pulls Monroe into her and kisses her. Monroe pulls away and says, "Your mom-" "Shut up and kiss me already" Kayla says interrupting Monroe. Monroe connects their lips. Kayla wraps her arms around Monroe's neck and Monroe places hers on Kayla's waist. Estella clears her throat and they pull away. "To answer your questions" Kayla says, "Me and my mom had a talk. She dropped the restraining order and wants a redo." Monroe asks, "Your mom is fine with this?" Kayla says, "She is still trying to get use to the idea, but she isn't as closed minded as before I left."

Monroe finishes organizing her locker. Monroe and Kayla interlace their fingers. Kayla says, "Hello Ericca, Ariella, and Vanessa." "Hey Kayla" Ariella says. "Glad to have you back" Ericca says. "Ooo this just got interesting" Vanessa says. Ariella glares at Vanessa. Ericca whispers, "Shut up." Vanessa says, "Don't give me that look and tell me to shut up, you were thinking the same thing."
