Part 2 of "You must be Betty"

❄️❄️❄️

|| THIRD PERSON ||

Jughead, 25
Betty, 23

"Are you sure the two of you will be fine on your own?"Veronica asked Betty, making sure that her best friend had everything she needed before she and Archie left for their new apartment. Betty rolled her eyes playfully at Veronica's question, chuckling softly. "Veronica, I'm twenty-three, not five years old."She teased, her best friend laughing along with her.

"Fine, I'm just making sure that you and your lover boy have everything you need before Archie and I leave."She winked, which caused Betty's cheeks to heat up instantly. She's been living with Jughead for five days now, and in all those days they've gotten close to each other, sleeping in the same room, but with him on the floor and her occupying his bed. He tells her it's the "gentleman thing to do", and Betty doesn't bother arguing with him anymore, even if she really wanted him to sleep on the bed with her?

They've also been constantly—limitlessly—flirting with each other, and both of them were sure that Veronica and Archie noticed. But who can blame them? They've called each other 'hot' at least a hundred times already and have already been throwing pick up lines at each other and shamelessly checked each other out dozens of times.

Meanwhile, in Archie's room, Jughead helped Archie pack the last of his things, stashing them in his luggage.

"You sure you'll be okay with Betty here, bro?"Archie asked for the third time, wanting to be sure of his best friend's answer before he made his departure official. Jughead groaned playfully and shoved some more of Archie's clothes in his bag, zipping it up before setting it aside with the rest of Archie's bags.

"For the third and final time, Archie, I'm more than okay with Betty being my roommate."He said, sitting down on Archie's bed. Archie nodded his head and sighed in relief, zipping up the last of his bags. "Do you like her?"He asked, and while Jughead expected him to ask him that question, and Jughead gulped at how soon he asked it to him.

It's just been five day since she moved in!

"Maybe."Jughead replied, but in reality, he really did. He thought Betty was beautiful, kind, and based from what she told him about her past, she's really smart too. And a writer too, just like him. He's seen how dedicated she was to her studies, watching her as she studied for grad school. Thank God he was finished with that part of his life.

"You know what, you two would make a great pair."Archie said, grinning at Jughead as he sat beside him. "I've seen you two...flirting with each other."He chuckled, teasing Jughead, nudging him playfully. "Shut up, Archie."Jughead fought the urge to blush, but lost that battle. His cheeks were already a shade of red, and he couldn't stop the corners of his lips from tugging up into a smile.

"Okay, I'll leave you two to it."Archie laughed, raising his arms up in surrender, standing up from the bed to bring his bags outside. "But if you need protection, you can always call me."

"God, Archie, I swear I'm going to kill you one day."He sighed, standing up as well. "But if I do need protection, I already have a lot of it stashed in m—"

"I don't need to hear where you're keeping them!"Archie exclaimed, which caused Jughead to burst into laughter. "You sure, mate? You were the one who opened up the topic, after all."
