It was just like any other day in Southside High.

The scrawny kids who belonged nowhere were getting beaten up by those who actually belong somewhere, just not to the type of people who'd do good deeds. The fúckboys were by their lockers, sucking off the faces of whichever girl they want to hook up with for the day.

And in the middle of the chaos were Riverdale's two notorious gangs, the Ghoulies and the Southside Serpents, seated in separate lunch tables. Both gangs were surrounded with their motorcycles and cars, but the two gangs wore different leather jackets on their backs.

The Ghoulies wore their usual gothic leather jackets while the Serpents were sporting their signature black leather jacket which had a large embroidery of their logo at the back.

It was often said that the Southside Serpents were the root of all evil in Riverdale, that they were the source of every single crime that has happened in this fúcking town. The gang had dominated the Southside for so long that everyone blamed everything on them, saying that they were nothing but chaos.

And I, Jughead Jones, stood in the middle of the chaos.

"Hey, Boss."Sweet Pea greeted as he strode towards me, a sly grin on his lips. I gave a small nod to his direction, chewing on the gum in my mouth, arms folded over my chest as I leaned back onto my motorcycle. "What's up, Sweet Pea?"I replied, keeping my gaze on him as he sat down on the lunch table, looking around to see if he had everyone's attention.

"I heard there's this new girl coming in today."Sweet Pea spoke, clasping his hands together. "Supposed to be a secret until she arrives, but I heard Philipps clear as day. Says she's some Northside chick who had to move here with her mom after she got kicked out of Riverdale High because of—and I quote, subversive and inappropropriate behavior. Apparently, she was acting up after this guy threatened her and her best friend and nearly pushed him off the ledge of that cliff near Sweetwater River."

As Sweet Pea kept on spoking, I debated whether or not to care about what he was telling us. There's a new kid, so what? Southside High has had lots of new kids before and nearly no one, most especially Sweet Pea, gave a fúck about it.

"Why are you so interested in this new girl, huh, Sweet Pea?"Toni teased, smirking at the greasy-haired boy, nudging him lightly on the shoulders.

"Well, most Northside girls are drop dead gorgeous, or so I heard."He replied with a light shrug. "And I bet this new girl's the same, so if ever she'll be interested, I could...you know...take her out."The pink-haired girl, Toni Topaz, laughed at her friend, mocking him as she stood up to him.

"Take her out? To where, your bedroom?"Most of the serpents snickered and laughed, patting Sweet Pea on his shoulders. "Good luck with that, man."Some serpents said, ruffling his hair, much to his dismay. As Sweet Pea frantically restored his hair to its normal, untouched state, he let out a sigh.
