|| THIRD PERSON||

Betty Cooper was a badáss, but nobody knew it yet.

The one thing she wanted most in the world was to be a rebel, the kind of girl she was meant to be, the kind of girl her mother hid behind a facade.

Betty was attracted to the darkness. It was something that no one, not even her best friend Veronica Lodge, knew about her. The darkness easily drew her in, and snuffed out her light. Her whole life, she had been pretending to be the good girl next door.

Betty was sick of it.

"You wanna hang out at Pop's tonight?"Archie Andrews, who lived in the house next to hers since they were in kindergarten, asked once he approached her. She was standing in front of her locker, rearranging her textbooks and notebooks, a typical perfectionist move. She wanted to tell him straight that she didn't want to, but that wasn't a nice thing to do.

It wasn't a Betty Cooper thing to do.

She turned to face the ginger, biting her bottom lip in deep thought. She knew she'd end up saying yes to him anyways, and so she nodded and flashed him one of her small smiles that she's perfected over years of play-pretend. "Okay."Betty replied.

As Archie turned and walked away, disappearing in the sea of teenagers in the hallway, Betty's smile faded and was replaced with a frown, the light leaving her eyes just as quickly as she put it on. She closed her locker and headed straight for the restroom, locking the door behind her. She hated her life, her way of living. Everyone was just expecting too much from her.

Betty is a blonde girl with mesmerizing blue eyes and a beautifully innocent face. She's smart and is from one of the upper families of Riverdale. What else would people expect from her? Of course they expected for her to be prim and proper, to bake cookies and other pastries for whoever was celebrating their birthday. One look at her and her tight, perfect ponytail and the first thing that would pop into your mind is that she's the perfect girl and the obedient daughter.

Maybe if she changed her life, her way of living, then everything else would change.

At this point of her life, Betty didn't care about what people thought of her anymore. They could say she's turned into a stone-cold bïtch and she would even thank them. All she wanted was for them to stop calling her perfect.

Because she wasn't.

The only problem was that Betty didn't know how to be bad. All she's known her entire life was be good, or at least, pretend to be. If she wasn't so smart she'd say that it was the only thing she knows.

All of Betty's friends are good, just like the kind of girl she pretends to he. Some of them had attitudes, but if Betty told them about her darkness, she doubts they'd even want to help her.
