Hi, Dei. This is RJ Faulkerson. Just checking if you are free any day this week for the evaluation that we have discussed last time at the resort? If lang naman. It's fine if you are still busy, we can reschedule some other time...

Dei couldn't help but yelp upon reading his message. She's been keeping her phone literally attached to her body since they came back from the resort a week ago. She must admit that she felt sort of disappointed that he did not even try to contact her sooner. She knew she told him that she is going to be busy the previous week but she can't help but hope that he would message or call her sooner.

"Grabe sya! Masyadong masunurin sa instructions. Talagang literal na the following week nagparamdam..." She thought as she reread his message one more time with a pout.

"Wow! Finally nagparamdam na rin sya! Congratulations, bes! So happy for you! Tagal mo rin hinintay 'to. I bet kabisado mo na number at other info nya sa kakatingin sa calling card nya habang naghihintay ng text or tawag the whole week..." Valerie suddenly spoke from somewhere behind her that she almost jumped off the sofa she was sitting Indian-style on.

"Val! Para kang kabute na kung saan saan sumusulpot! At bakit ka ba nakikibasa ng text sa phone ko?" She instantly reacted while hugging the phone to her chest to hide the screen.

"Excuse me lang po! Di po ako nakikibasa ng text mo. Sa reaction mo pa lang sa message alam ko na na si Man in Your Dreams yung nagtext. Sa kanya ka lang naman nagrereact ng ganyan, noh!" Valerie answered defensively.

Dei blushed in embarrassment.

"...but now that you mentioned it...nacurious na rin ako. So anong sabi ni Sir RJ? Manliligaw na ba? Inaya ka na bang magdate? Halika na hanap na tayo ng outfit para sa date of the decade!!!" Val enthusiastically blurted while pulling her up from the sofa and towards her room. She gently extracted her arm from her best friend's grip.

"Valeria! Maghunos dili ka! Nagtanong lang sya kung kelan ako available for the psych evaluation na minention nya nung nasa resort pa nila tayo. Mas hopia ka pa kesa sa akin, ah!" She retorted.

"Kailangan mo ng psych evaluation??! Bakit??!! Baliw ka ba? Girl, may hindi ka ba sinasabi sa akin?! May naririnig ka bang mga boses na di naririnig ng orinaryong tao?! Ano??!" Val asked in her usual hysterical fashion.

"Valeria, umayos ka baka masapak na kita! Hindi ako nababaliw. Nag-offer lang si RJ ng eval kasi para daw nagmamanifest ako ng signs of depression. Gusto lang daw nyang makasiguro..." She answered.

"Talaga ba?! Parang di ka naman mukhang depressed, baliw sa pag-ibig pwede pa..." Val laughingly commented which made her hit her with a throw pillow.

"Bwisit ka! Remind mo nga ako paano tayo naging magkaibigan? Pero seriously, ano ang sasabihin ko sa kanya? Sa tingin mo ba okay lang na magpaevaluate ako sa kaya?" Dei asked doubtfully. Val looked at her with a raised eyebrow, fingers rubbing her chin.

"You know what, bes, iba ang basa ko dyan sa papsych exam na yan, eh. In fairness, ibang klase ding dumiskarte si Sir RJ, ah! Pustahan tayo bes. Excuse lang nya yan para magkita kayo uli!" Val theorized enthusiastically.

"Wag ka nga, Val! Hopia na nga ako pinapalala mo pa! Baka naman wala lang syang mapagpractisan ng skills nya o kaya bored sya kaya ganun..." She said while staring at her phone screen again.
