third person pov"You did well, Xiulan," Mr. Huang commented as they arrived back at the hotel and went into one of the elevators. She stood where the buttons were, ready to jump out when she could while Yanjun silently stood beside her.
The meeting went fairly well, Scarlett didn't have to speak which she was happy about, but she did scold Yanjun for not paying attention.
"Thank you, Father," she bowed slightly. Usually she would bow more, but they were in an elevator and her father knew how she felt about them. The elevator became silent as they went up and it soon stopped at the second highest floor where Scarlett was staying.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you," Mr. Huang said as the doors opened. "Yanjun will be staying with you in your suite."
"What," Scarlett nearly shouted. Mr. Huang didn't answer, he ignored her and she internally screamed at him.
How could she put him in the suite with him?! Was her father out of his mind? Could he not see the tension between them?
"Let's go, Crimson," Yanjun said placing his hands on her shoulders and pushed her out. "Have a nice evening, Mr. Huang and Mr. Qui."
The door closed as soon as they got off the elevator and Scarlett shook him off of her. "I can't believe this it's like a-"
"Dream? If it is I wanna keep dreaming," Yanjun sighed as he followed her down the hall to their shared suite.
"I was going to say nightmare and this is by far one of the worst," Scarlett lied, stopping at their door. She pulled her key from her pocket and tapped it on the knob. The light flashed green and she turned the knob down before pushing it open. "Anyways, if you're going to stay in the suite with me I have a couple rules."
"Sounds fun."
"Shut up," she sighed crossing her arms and turning to him. "One, don't go into my room. Two, don't touch my things. Three, try not to be messy. Four, be quiet. Five, leave me alone. I don't want to be bothered when I'm trying to prepare for other meetings. You're already as distracting as it gets."
"So you admit I distract you?"
"Yes, you do. Now is there anything you want to tell me?"
"No. Well... except that we both know those rules will most likely be broken and I put my things in the room right next to yours. You know, the one that connects from the bathroom," Yanjun stated as she turned away and he started pulling his jacket off then threw it onto the expensive looking couch in their temporary "living room."
"There's three other rooms, one right across from mine. Why'd you have to pick that one?" She asked pulling the hair tie out of her hair and allowing her hair to fall down to her waist. Her dark hair was now it soft beach curls, but she kept the small braids and pinned them to the back of her head so it would curve on the sides of her head.
She let out a sigh as she turned to look at Yanjun, but was surprised when he was peeling off his dress shirt. "What the hell, Yanjun! G-Go do that in your room," she yelled shielding her eyes from him.
"What's wrong? It's not like you've never seen me shirtless," Yanjun chuckled as she glanced behind her to find her way to her bedroom. "No need to be so shy~"
"I'm not being shy. And that was because I was trying to warn you about Yunyu," she said bumping into some furniture then hitting the wall beside her door.
"Sure...you're adorable, Red," Yanjun smirked, abruptly standing in front of her and holding her waist. He pressed her to the wall and she peeked at him from her hands. He was leaning into her, his breath ticking her ear. "By the way, I decided to take the room beside yours so I'm closer to you when we sleep...unless you'd like me to be even closer and sleep in the same bed as you."
He pushed her hair behind her shoulder, exposing her neck. A shiver ran up her spine as his finger came to brush against her cheek. Scarlett's breath caught in her throat as she took in their situation, her heart was beating abnormally fast.
A thud made Scarlett come to realization and she pushed Yanjun off of her.
"Cut the crap," she said and went into her room, slamming the door behind her. She locked the door behind her and went to the bathroom door and locked that one to before leaning against it. Her hand landed on her heart that was still beating fast, it was like it was going to pop out like a pop up Valentine's Day card.
"Damn you, Lin Yanjun."
