third person pov
"I'm home," Zhengting called through the house as he entered with his backpack slung on a single arm. He heard a gasp and walked down the hall, stopping in shock as he saw Yanjun sitting on the couch with Jieqiong. Her hand resting high on his thigh and her face near his.
"Shit," Yanjun muttered, pulling away from her to stand up. "H-Hey, Zhengting."
"Hey...I thought you had classes till two. What time did you get here? You're home pretty early."
"Just a while ago."
The later's eyes moved between the two of them. He couldn't help, but feel disappointed in Yanjun since he thought he was in love with Scarlett. He thought he would've taken longer to move on, but obviously not.
Speaking of Scarlett...
"Is um...Is Scarlett home," he asked, avoiding eye contact as he put his keys into his pocket. He hated awkward situations, especially this one. "She should've been home by now."
"What do you mean? Isn't she still in America," Yanjun shoved his hands into his pocket, forgetting the girl on the couch, momentarily.
"Her flight landed a little more than an hour ago so she should've been home by now," Zhengting stated, knowing that it didn't take long to come home from the busy place.
Yanjun froze in his spot. Scarlett.
He and Jieqiong didn't get to the house until a while ago. What if she saw them? What if she-wait, Yanjun did see a car coming their way, but it was one that he didn't recognize. He just thought it was one of the workers from the main residence.
"You need to leave," Yanjun turned to the girl on the couch.
"Wh-What do you mean? We just-"
The front door had opened and they heard her heels click onto the hardwood floor along with her luggage being rolled.
Zhengting was the first to see her and his eyes widened at the sight of her.
Her hair was in voluminous curls, but her makeup was natural. She kind of looked like she just had sex. Her top was a tight, blush pink lace edged camisole and she was wearing a matching pencil skirt that reached her knees. Her slender legs looked longer with the nude heels she was wearing causing more attention there. Around her neck was a rose gold necklace the shape of the moon and a matching chocker. A small purse was hanging on her shoulder while she put her luggage to a stop.
"Hey," she smiled upon seeing him. Her heels somehow got quieter as she made her way over and saw Yanjun and Jieqiong.
Yanjun stilled as her eyes moved between the two of them. He watched her eyes, looking for a sign of sadness, but there was none and to his surprise, a smirk pulled at her lips.
"Don't make a mess on the couch," her eyes flickered to Yanjun before she turned and left to go to the kitchen. His eyes followed after her, running over the shape of her body and how tight her skirt was.
"Good luck," Zhengting muttered, pivoting and walking in the same direction.
"See? She'll be-"
"Please leave. I can't have you here with her here too. At least not yet," Yanjun sighed, running a hand through his hair before fixing it.
"Okay," Jieqiong frowned, but stood to her feet before planting a kiss on his lips. The kiss wasn't the same as Scarlett's. It wasn't sweet and he didn't feel needy when she kissed him.
With Scarlett, her kiss was addicting, all of the kisses she gave him were addicting. It was like you were falling to death, but the adrenaline kicked and you felt alive, free. It was like his heart and soul were nothingness until she touched him and suddenly he became a bonfire, but when she was gone, he reverted back to what he felt like before...nothing.

"Here's your sandwich," Zhengting said, placing a plate down in front of her as she looked through her mail. Of course, she found a new letter and placed it at the bottom of the stack.
"Thanks, Tingting," she smiled and began to eat it. A moan escaped her mouth, she hadn't eaten a home made food since she left. All she ate was fast food.
Zhengting turned a bright shade of pink and turned away.
"What's going on in here," Yanjun asked, entering the kitchen after Jieqiong left. He saw Scarlett leaning against the counter, her forearms pressed against the cool surface, her hair cascading down her back, reaching the bottom, and her butt slightly sticking out.
"Nothing much," she looked over her shoulder, gulping down the bite of food. She took another bite and a muffled moan sounded in her throat, "this is so good, Tingting."
"Crimson," Yanjun warned.
Scarlett knew what she was doing. She was going back to her old ways.
"What's up, Yanyan," she pushed off the counter as she swallowed her food. She wiped the corners over her mouth before throwing the napkin onto the counter.
Ignoring the name, he spoke, "what are you doing?"
"I was eating a sandwich," she shrugged her shoulders as she spoke so nonchalantly. Pulled her purse from her shoulder, the strap of her camisole falling, but she didn't fix it.
"Clearly. Where have you been? Your flight landed a long time ago," he spoke as she took out a tube of lip gloss from her bag. Her eyes moved to him as she unscrewed it before applying, her eyes never leaving his, but his had focused on her soft, plump, now shiny lips.
"I went to the park," she stated when she was done and closed up the lip gloss before putting it away. "You know, since I saw you and Jieqiong come inside for an...activity I decided to leave you to it. Didn't want to spoil your fun."
"Jieqiong and I are dating," Yanjun stated, looking in her eyes now. They revealed everything, but this time it didn't reveal what part of him wanted. She didn't look hurt or bother by it.
But on the inside she was.
"Congratulations."
"That's all you have to say?"
Scarlett sighed, pushing back her messy hair that he so loved. "Of course that's all I have to say, there's nothing else to. You're not my boyfriend and I'm not your girlfriend anymore. You're moving on and I'm moving on, it's natural."
"Crim-"
"My name's Scarlett. I won't allow you to call me by a name that isn't mine anymore and if you do, I will ignore you."
