third person povScarlett slept in Yanjun's arms. His scent and steady heart beat made it easy for her to find safety and comfort. Him in general allowed her to find those and more. When Yanjun awoke, he allowed her to sleep as long as she could. He didn't move or make a sound in order for her to get as much sleep as possible. He had watched as the first stream of sunlight spilled through their window and soon filled the room.
"Yanjun," a small voice sounded. He pulled away slightly to see Scarlett staring at his chest. She blinked and her eyes moved to him.
"Good morning," he whispered almost inaudibly.
"Good morning," she whispered back before pressing a short kiss to his lips. She wanted to hug onto him a little longer, but decided against it since she knew he probably woke up a long time ago.
She sat up, her hair cascading down her back that was covered by Yanjun's t-shirt. Yanjun slipped his hand under the shirt and the pads of his fingers touched her soft skin. He watched as she began to tie her hair up into a ponytail and when she turn her head to look at him, the sun made it look like it only came out for her. "I'll make breakfast in a second, okay?"
Yanjun just nodded, looking at her in awe. A small, confused laugh came from her as she looked at him for a moment before getting up and going to the bathroom. He watched, his shirt barely covering her bottom.
"I just want to marry her already," Yanjun whispered to himself when the door closed.

"Babe, stop eating so fast," Scarlett said seeing Yanjun eat the pancakes she made him. He was on his third one and she had never seen him eat so fast. "You're going to choke."
Yanjun looked over to her and saw her quietly watching him, her fork pressed to her lips. His eyes moved to her hand and he swallowed the food in his mouth.
"What...What time of the year would you want to get married," Yanjun asked, catching Scarlett off guard. He watched as her eyebrows drew together and he panicked for a moment. "I-I'm just wondering. You don't have to ans-"
"Spring would be nice, but I think anytime would be nice. As long as I marry you," Scarlett mumbled the last part before shoving a piece of food into her mouth. Yanjun smiled and noticed the blush on her cheeks as she avoided his eye contact.
"Did you want a small wedding or one of those huge weddings with more than a hundred people?"
Scarlett swallowed the food in her mouth and poked one of the strawberries she cut up and pushed to the side of her plate.
"Small," she replied her eyes slowly moving to Yanjun who watched her. "Just our families and friends. Nothing too extravagant."
"Yeah, I thought so too," he nodded his head before going back to eating. The house was quiet since the others all had school and the couple were the only ones home. Their school schedules were the same, but some days Scarlett had to go to work. However, today she didn't need to go in.
Scarlett silently wondered why he'd been asking such questions the past couple of days. He had been asking where she wanted to live after they got married. He wanted to know where in China and America. She understood why he would ask for China, but not America. Still, she answered his question.
"You're acting weird," Scarlett suddenly spoke, looking at Yanjun. His eyes widened for a moment before his expression changed into a playful look.
"Whatever do you mean, Crimson?"
"Why do you keep asking me these weird questions," she asked, sitting back in her chair.
"What weird questions?"
"Yanjun..."
"Crimson..."
Scarlett stared at him and put her fork down before crossing her arms over her chest. Yanjun copied her and she tried to bite back her laugh, but failed and covered her face.
"Yanjun~ I'm being serious," she whined with a small laugh, voice muffled by her hands. She heard his chair scratch against the floor and put her hands down to see him rounding the table. He pulled out the chair beside her and sat, facing her. His face was suddenly so serious and fear spiked in Scarlett.
"Baby, there's something I need to say..."
Scarlett nodded for him to continue and watched as he ran his tongue across his soft lips.
"Wait!"
"Wha-"
Scarlett pressed her lips to his then pecked them once more before pulling away. When she pulled away, Yanjun's eyes were still shut and slowly opened to look at her.
"Go ahead," she nodded as he bit his lips then cleared his throat.
"Baby..."
"Mhmm," she nodded, freaking out on the inside since she wasn't sure what he was going to say. He paused and she released an annoyed, impatient groan. She grabbed his face and pinched his cheeks. "Yanjun, if you don't hurry up I'm going to-"
"I think you're pregnant."
