"Ms. Huang, here are those proposals Mr. Qui mentioned along with the stock logs and invoices," Yanchen, Scarlett's new assistant, said, placing a stack of papers onto her desk.

"Of course. Thank you, Yanchen...you know you don't have to call me Ms. Huang, right?"

"I know, but I feel like Mr. Qui scolds me every time I don't call you by that. He's kinda scary too," Yanchen said tapping his fingers on the papers.

"I guess...I'm surprised you even applied for the job. I thought you'd be doing something else like hanging out with Huba during break."

"I needed the money and also some experience... anyways, did you want something to eat? It's an hour past lunch and you haven't eaten since ten..."

"Yes, please. Anything will work, I'm not too picky. Pick something up for yourself too," Scarlett smiled, handing him some money and he was off.

Scarlett stared at the pile of papers for God knows how long before running a hand through her satiny hair.

She was struggling keeping up with her work and her homework. Everything was getting out of hand and some of the stuff, she hadn't known how to do herself. She spent day and night working herself off and barely slept.

She hadn't talked to Yanjun, her brother, or any of the boys for a good two weeks and she was worried that they would get the wrong idea.

Seeing that she had done enough work for the day, she quickly grabbed her phone from under a pile of papers and hit the FaceTime button for Yanjun.

Scarlett tapped her fingers on her desk, nervous about how Yanjun would react. She wanted to call him, but she was just too busy and by the time she could call it was late.

Scarlett waited and waited for him to answer, but he never did so she put her phone down. She let out a shaky breath as she thought about being in Los Angeles alone in her new house.

It was big and lonely, just how she hated it. It was furnished when she arrived and there was a boat load of food in the fridge and cupboards except there was no one to hog all the food. There was no one cooking home cooked meals or steal the snacks for themselves to hide in their room and there was no yelling and fighting over video games. There was no laughing like crazy people or running around chasing each other over something dumb. It was just dead silent. Absolutely lonely.

For a while, Scarlett stared off into space, sulking over how lonely she was in the wretched house she could not call home. She did that at least until her phone began ringing beside her. Scarlett quickly picked up the phone and saw that Yanjun was FaceTiming her. She quickly accepted it and heard ruckus in the background that was music to her ear.

"Crimson," Yanjun smiled on Scarlett's screen, but his smile suddenly became a frown. "Hey, what's wrong? Why are you crying?"

Scarlett touched her cheeks, she hadn't realized that she was crying. When she realized, more tears spilled from her eyes.

"I...I wasn't crying. I just yawned," Scarlett lied, but Yanjun shook his head. "I also miss you guys...especially you."

"I know, I miss you too. We miss you too and I wish I could there with you, but we'll be there next week. We're all going to Disneyland, Universal Studios, and the Hollywood sign, remember?"

"Yeah, but I just...I haven't talked to you in two whole weeks. I was a little worried you would be mad at me."

"I would be mad, but I saw my beautiful girl crying so I can't really be mad at you now. Plus, you're probably over working the crap out of yourself," Yanjun replied running a hand through his hair.

"Yeah. I still have a lot of work to do, but I really wanted to see you. I don't think I can take being here anymore," Scarlett said sitting back in her chair.

"You're coming back home when we are, aren't you? Or has that changed?"

"I'm staying till August. Yihui wants me to meet a bunch of the company associates who are coming from around the world and I have to approve of proposals. They also want me to look over a model for some building they're going to start out there."

"Can't they just video chat you like in the movies? Why do they give you so much work to do anyways? That's-"

"It's training, remember? Justin's going to be the one lounging around when the time comes so that leaves most of the work to me. Don't worry about it, okay?"

Yanjun frowned, but nodded his head in response.

"So, what are you up to?"

"I happen to be on babysitting duty. I'm watching Justin since the others went to visit their families."

"Fun," Scarlett said sarcastically, but her eyes suddenly lit up. "You should take him somewhere and get him to-"

"Approve of me? Your dad already approves, Justin's just being-"

"Stubborn," Scarlett cut him off like he did with her.

"Yeah. It runs in the family," Yanjun muttered.

"Just do it. I'm sure he'll appreciate it and actually be okay with us. Plus, I feel like he's going to freak out when you're all here," Scarlett spoke.

"Where would I even take him? I don't have any money."

Just as Yanjun finished his sentence, Scarlett heard a car engine from outside. Yanchen was back already?

"You don't need money. Just take him somewhere, babe," Scarlett said fixing the things around her to make it look like she actually did something while he was gone. Yanchen reported progress to Yihui so it was important that she seemed like she did work.

"What did you call me," Yanjun asked suddenly.

"What do you mean? I said Yanjun," Scarlett was confused.

"No you didn't," Yanjun smirked now.

"Then what did I say...?"

"You called me babe," he showed his dimples.

"Oh..."

"Say it again," Yanjun got excited and sat straight on the couch where he was lounging, watching tv.

"N-No," Scarlett blushed.

"I like it."

"I have to go."

"Please, Crimson," Yanjun did puppy eyes and Scarlett covered her face, blushing harder.

"Fine, but you better go and take Justin somewhere," she said firmly.

"I will! Now say it."

"Okay. I have to go...babe," Yanjun's smile grew wider and Scarlett puffed her cheeks, embarrassed.

"Okay...I miss you. Call me later okay? I want to hear that name more."

"Yeah. Yeah. I miss you too."

"Say it."
