"You really want security guards at your house again," Mr. Qui asked Scarlett as they sat in her office in California. She was focused on her homework that she would have to turn in that night.

"Yes, I don't see what the problem is with having some."

"It's just out of the blue, Xiulan. Could you at least give me a specific reason why you want some posted outside your home twenty four seven?"

Scarlett looked up at him from her computer and released a sigh. "I...I just want them because I feel more safe with them. You know...because him."

Mr. Qui stared at Scarlett who then avoided eye contact. He knew who she was talking about, her father spent a lot of money looking for the boy and his daughter.

"Very well. I'm sure we could get Bu Fan, Qin Fen, the Zhu twins, and whoever else. They're more than capable," Mr. Qui noted and Scarlett hesitated, but nodded. She didn't really trust Bu Fan since he was like a huge child, but maybe he could be capable. Maybe.

"Thanks," Scarlett muttered going back to her work.

"I'm surprised you and Yanjun aren't together anymore," Mr. Qui suddenly wanted to make conversation. Scarlett's eyebrows furrowed as she looked up to him. "I saw you two the other day. You were hugging."

"Yeah well...friends hug, don't they," she asked, thinking of Yanjun's heartbeat under her ear. His musky scent surrounding her and his strong arms wrapped around her.

"I guess," Mr. Qui muttered before turning to leave. "Make sure to look over those papers I gave you. You have a meeting tomorrow morning, might I remind you."

"Yeah. Yeah. I got it."

"By the way, I hired a new assistant for you," Mr. Qui suddenly pivoted.

"Are you kidding me? How many assistance am I-"

"This one is permanent and she'll be there tomorrow morning. Be nice."

"When am I not?" Mr. Qui nodded and walked out, shutting the door behind him. "I'm only mean to the girls who date or dated Yanjun. Not my fault they're bitches. But then again...I'm a bitch too. I'm that bitch."

"They're kind of weird," Justin told Scarlett over FaceTime as she sat in her house with the tv going. "One of them keeps bullying Kai-ge."

"Let me guess...Bufan?"

"Yeah, he's really tall. I thought he was scary, but he prances around a lot," he nodded his head and Scarlett laughed. He did prance around. She remembered at the party he was slightly dancing to the music and he kind of looked awkward. "The other one wears these glasses when he says something savage. He's kinda old, but he's cool."

"I just hope they're doing their jobs. I wouldn't want to have to get them fired."

"Ms. Huang, did you want me to file these for you," Amanda, Scarlett's new assistant asked with some papers in her arms.

"That's okay, I can file them myself. Go ahead and relax. You've already done a lot today," Scarlett told the girl who was some years older than her.

"Oh...okay. Thank you, Ms. Huang."

"Scarlett. It's Scarlett...you don't have to call me that," she decided to say since it was her permanent assistant now.

"Okay...Scarlett."

Amanda walked off and Scarlett went back to talking to Justin. Scarlett hadn't talked much to Amanda because the girl was a little shy so she decided to allow her to adjust before she tried to get to know the girl.

"Jiejie...can I tell you something," Justin said, suddenly. He didn't seem right. He actually was really nervous.

"Yeah, you can tell me anything, J."

"Okay," he nodded, taking in a breath of air. "But don't get mad."

"Unless you've done something bad then I'm sure I won't be too mad," Scarlett replied. Justin nodded quickly and messed with his hair.

"I...I don't want to take over dad's company," he confessed what Scarlett already knew. "I mean, it's not that I...well yeah, it's cause it's too much stress. Look at what they have you doing? Just imagine what I would have to do."

"Yeah."

"And you know I'm not good with business and I want to be an-"

"An Idol? Yeah, I know," Scarlett chuckled remembering how his eyes got starry when he went on stage. "Don't worry about the business, J. I'm sure everything will be okay."

"Yeah...I guess," Justin looked away from the camera for a moment. "I just don't want to let Mom and Dad down. You know how they are..."

"It'll be okay," Scarlett reassured him. "You won't let them down...Anyways, how are things going with everyone?"

"Good," Justin nodded, his eyes seemed to flicker to someone in front of him. "But Jun-ge is still dating Jieqiong. She's getting annoying and I'm thinking about banishing her from the house."

"That's not very nice, J."

"I know, but I ship Yanson now. I'm a devoted shipper," Justin claimed, making Scarlett's lips pull into a small smile. "Don't you want him back? Don't you love him?"

Justin silently waited for Scarlett to reply. Yanjun leaned against the door frame of the kitchen listening to the conversation.

"Of course I love him," she stated as a small sigh left her lips. "But if he's happy that's all that matters. I'm happy for him."

"But what about you?"

Scarlett bit her lips thinking her answer through before speaking. "When you love someone you have to be happy for them even if they're happy with someone else. Sometimes their happiness has to go before your own and if you really love them you'll let them go because you know that they'll be better off with someone else...someone who could give them the life you can't."
