"I know I haven't been part of your...group for long, but don't you think this marriage stuff is going a little too fast," Xudan asked sitting on the white leather stood in the shop they were in.

"It's been a month. I think that's long enough and you're allowed to say what you want. Scarlett doesn't really get mad unless you talk about her brother or have a crush on Jun-ge," Amanda informed, sitting beside her.

The two girls jumped with the curtain was pulled back, revealing Scarlett who wore a mermaid styled wedding dress.

"How's this one," Scarlett asked, licking her lips. Her mother was supposed to be with them, but the woman had been busy herself.

"It looks itchy."

"I can assure you. Our dresses are comfortable and made with-"

"It's pretty itchy," Scarlett cut the woman off who tried to sell her every dress she tried on so far which was a total of five, including the one she had on.

The woman would've tried to reassure her about the expensive dress again, but more customers entered the dress shop and she excused herself.

"It's pretty obvious that you and Jun-ge love each other and are miserable without one another...why aren't you marrying him instead? Nongnong told me your parents didn't arrange a marriage like other rich families do."

"I...I love Andrew."

"Bullshit," Amanda coughed and Xudan snickered.

"Seriously," Scarlett rolled her eyes at the two of them. She knew they were right though. It was bullshit. Complete bs. She could never love that rich snobby brat even if he was good looking and had a body carved by Greek Gods.

He wasn't Yanjun and could never replace him. No one could. Yanjun was Scarlett's air and she was suffocating without him.

"You and Nongnong are getting close," Scarlett commented, changing the subject. Xudan took the bait and Amanda quietly went on with it since she knew Scarlett had difficulty talking about Yanjun.

Scarlett told Amanda and Xudan to head home since she wanted to do something on her own.

Scarlett arranged for Xudan to live in the guest house with her and the boys. She cleared out her music production room and had her instruments sent to a storage. It was Scarlett's favorite room, but she didn't mind giving it to Xudan since her parents didn't want her in their house anymore.

Scarlett had been angry when Xudan's parents told the young girl it had been her fault for what happened to her. They told her she had a chance to leave Kaolin (Knuckles), but she didn't. They didn't understand and it took everything in Scarlett not to go out there and yell at the girl's parents.

"Ms. Huang," Scarlett's father's nurse, Luxie, smiled when she saw the girl come into her father's hospital room. They said it was better for him to stay in the hospital so if anything happened, they would be ready for the most part.

"Hey...how is he," Scarlett asked taking a seat beside her father's bed. She came often to talk to him about what was going on. She didn't know if she believed that he could hear her in his state, but she needed to talk to him. She needed to talk about Yanjun and she needed to talk about how Justin was.

"The same..." Luxie replied, offering a sad smile. "I think that your talks help him though. At least so he's not lonely when your mother isn't around."

"Yeah," Scarlett nodded, balling her fists out of sadness. Her mother was alone again.

"I'll...go so you can talk to him alone. Call me if you need anything," the nurse said and Scarlett nodded, sending her a thankful smile before she left, closing the door behind her.

A long sigh escaped Scarlett's lips as she sat back in the old hospital chair and looked over at her father. He was connected to all kinds of machines and seeing him that way broke her heart.

Sure, her father was hard on her, but she knew he loved her and Justin. She knew her father had always cared for them and did what was necessary for the two of them. She also had a soft spot for him since he was a Yanson shipper. She thought it was pretty funny.

Scarlett thought about how he looked between her and Yanjun. How he had this knowing smirk when he saw the two together when they all went to America.

A dry laugh slipped from her lips as she thought about it. She couldn't imagine her father betting her mother about the two, but a frown pushed its way onto her face.

"I guess you won't be winning the bet, huh," Scarlett looked to her father. "I'm sorry."
