"We should break up..."

Silence.

"Wh-What?"

"I'm sorry...I just - I can't do this anymore. I thought we could work it out, but it's just too much now. I can't be with you anymore."

Scarlett licked her dry lips, her eyes looking at Yanjun who looked away. Her hand suddenly didn't hurt at all anymore. Her chest did.

"Okay..."

He nodded, "I'll ask someone to take you to the hospital. I-I'm sorry, Crimson."

"Yeah," she muttered in disbelief. She was supposed to break up with him, not the other way around.

It's better this way though, isn't it? Now I don't have to break his heart, Scarlett thought to herself.

"Here, you can have this back," Yanjun said, taking off the watch she bought him, but she quickly held a hand out for him to stop.

"Keep it just...just get out please," her voice cracked at the end as she got off her bed and turned away as she wrapped her hand with the bandages she had.

Tears began to fall down her face and she hadn't wanted Yanjun to see them. She promised herself she wouldn't cry in front of him when they broke up, but like her promise to Justin, it was broken.

"Crim-"

"Keep it and get out," she said, trying to control her voice, but miserably failed. Yanjun bit his lips, but did as she said and closed the door. When he was out, he stood at the door, unable to move. His hands shook uncontrollably and his eyes began to water.

"Jun-ge..." Nongnong said behind him and he turned to see him, Linkai, Zhangjing, and Zhengting quietly watching him.

"What did you do," Linkai croaked.

"Please tell me you didn't," Zhangjing went pale as he looked at his best friend who was on the brink of breaking down.

A wave of sadness and pain went through his body as he released the hand on the door. He opened his mouth then closed it, he didn't want to say it out loud. He wanted to pretend he didn't do it, but it was for the best. He had to.

"I...I did."

Ziyi and Xukun took Scarlett to the hospital after her and Yanjun's break up. Scarlett indeed, didn't break her hand like she said, but it didn't matter. She had a broken heart and even though she knew it was coming, it seemed to have hurt more than anything.

When she got home she didn't have dinner and went straight to bed. She didn't feel like being around anyone and neither did Yanjun who hadn't left his room since they went to the hospital.

Yanjun hadn't known why Justin was so against him dating Scarlett, but now it made sense. She had runaway with her ex boyfriend Carson (at least that's what they all thought) and he understood why he was so scared of letting anyone have her. He didn't want to loose her like he did before.

Of course, Yanjun would never had asked her to runaway with him like that, but he didn't want to be a problem in their siblings relationship.

Justin hadn't said anything to anyone. The house was quieter than usual and everyone felt the tension wafting in the air.

The first day of school came quickly which was a delight to most of the people in the house since they wouldn't be stuck in the tension filled house.

This semester, Scarlett had all business classes leaving her on her own since no one else took business courses. She didn't really mind it since she didn't want distractions and it wouldn't really matter anyways since she was going to keep going back and forth between China and America.

When her classes ended, Scarlett either went straight home or to her father's office which was soon to be her own.

Mr. Huang was better now, but the doctors said he should relax and not stress too much. Mrs. Huang wanted to go on a trip with him and although he didn't want to leave Scarlett to take care of the business yet, she insisted that her parents go. She claimed she had nothing better to do anyways so she rushed them off.

This is how it's going to be anyways.
