third person pov"You okay," Amanda asked Scarlett with a small frown as the two of them drove to the airport.
"I'm just a little tired," Scarlett smiled although she knew Amanda knew that wasn't the only reason she was zoning out.
"You know, you don't have to go through with it. There's another way, there always is," the older girl said, feeling horrible for the girl.
"I don't have time," Scar said, messing with her fingers. "It's not like it's going to be forever anyways. It's only until I can handle things better and I'm sure the others will understand once they know."
Amanda nodded, but it sounded like Scarlett was trying to convince herself. It was clear to Amanda that Scarlett loved her brother and would do anything for him, but she worried most about Scarlett. She knew about health issues she had and how Scarlett didn't sleep well.
"He'll meet us at the airport, right," Scarlett asked, biting her lips.
"He's running a little late, but it should be okay," Amanda replied glancing at her phone as the driver stopped at a red light.
"I'd expect him to be early. He's always barking about being on time which, in his dictionary, means thirty minutes early," she muttered.
Scarlett's eyes were drawn to the window. Right outside was a small park that was filled with children, couples, and families. The sun was shining down and it looked like a perfect day. As the car moved, Scarlett saw a couple laying on a blanket, pointing at the sky.

"You're staring, Crimson."
"I know...I can't help it. You're really handsome," Scarlett had her head in Yanjun's lap. They had a blanket sprawled under them on the sand of California's beach. "You probably already know that though so maybe I should take it back."
"It's too late. You already said it," a deep chuckle came from his chest. "But it means more since you said it."
"Sure," Scarlett shook her head with a smile. Her eyes looking up at him and his head turned down to look at her.
"I'm serious," he smiled. His fingers untangling from her long hair. He ran his index finger over her collar bones then up her neck, brushing the crescent scars before tracing her jawline. "If you didn't think I was handsome I'm not sure I could go on with my life."
"You're ridiculous," Scarlett laughed, facing turning away to look at the sea for a moment before meeting his adoring eyes. His finger brushed her cheek bones before tracing her full lips. Scarlett giggled and took his hand, lacing their fingers together. "You're devastatingly handsome no matter what, but even if you didn't have those damn good looks of yours, I would've fallen to the pits of hell for you."
"That's a little much don't you think?"
"No," she shook her head. "If anything, it's not enough."
"Sounds like you're pretty in love with me, Red."
Scarlett rolled her eyes, but a smile tugged at her pink plump lips. Yanjun quickly lent down and placed a long, sweet kiss to her lips. Their hearts pounded in their chests in sync and butterflies erupting in their stomachs.
"I love you," he stated, pulling away from her, squeezing her hand in his large one. "I love you, Crimson Lin."
"That's not even my name," she laughed, bringing his hand to her lips. She placed a soft kiss on his hand before holding it over her heart.
"Yeah, but you like when I call you Crimson and you're going to be a Lin one day."
"Yeah...I hate when you call me by my real name. You're usually mad at me when you say it," she confessed reaching up and poking a dimple. "But I do want your last name."
"Good," he nodded his head, smile growing bigger. "Because I want you to keep it forever."

"Scarlett," Amanda said.
"Sorry," the girl shook her head and looked over to her assistant. "What were you saying?"
"No, I'm sorry...he wants to know if you went over the notes for the meeting afterwards..."
"Yeah. I went over them," Scarlett nodded her head and looked off, but Amanda spoke again, grabbing her attention.
"You're crying," she said and handed Scarlett a tissue.
"S-Sorry," Scarlett stuttered and pressed the tissue, trying not to ruin her makeup. She looked away, crumpling the tissue in her hand, but it felt like it was her heart not the tissue.
I love you, Lin Yanjun.
