I intently peer at the female standing in front of me. Not only does she feel conflicted about what to do, but she is second guessing her recent decisions. I furrow my eyebrows in concentration, as she nervously paces around the hideout. If I want to escape from this place and rejoin my friends, then my only option is to convince Rena to release me.
"Rena, I can't imagine how you're feeling," I state, shooting her a sympathetic look. "I don't know what I'd do if I was in your situation." She turns to stare at me. "I now understand why you betrayed us. You felt trapped and wanted to ensure the safety of your home, even if it meant turning everyone else against you." Tears form in her eyes. "Not only that, but you also came across countless futures that had the same result in the end."
"Aqua..." Rena begins, meeting my gaze. "I know what you're trying to do..." I stare at her with wide eyes. "All you want to do is escape and help your friends stop your future self." I scrunch my brows in concern. "Aqua, please answer my question." I nod in response, as she purses her lips. "Do you actually think that you can beat her and save the magic dimension?"
"Yes, I do," I say in a serious tone, as a newfound determination washes over me. "Rena, you probably already know this, but I managed to unlock a new Dimentix form after Roxy nearly died." She then narrows her eyes at me. "I know that if I use that form, then I'll be able to defeat her."
"Okay then," hums Rena, who unlocks the cell door and then approaches me. "She needs to be stopped." She takes the keys and starts to unlock the chains. "Also, Aqua, I know it's a lot to ask, but please don't let any harm fall on Makani." She finishes unlocking the chains, as I shrug them off and watch them fall to the ground.
"Rena, I will protect Makani, but don't think I'm leaving here alone," I state, as she raises her eyebrows in astonishment. "I want to believe that you have good intentions, so please return with me to Alfea and help me save the magic dimension." Rena shifts nervously and lowers her head in dismay, before sheepishly scratching the back of her head.
"I-I'm not sure about that..." She murmurs, clenching her fists in desperation. "I'm pretty sure the other members of the Winx Club hate me." Rena meets my gaze. "Honestly, I don't blame them. After everything I've done, I don't deserve forgiveness." Rena heaves a sigh. "However, Aqua, I will do my best to save the magic dimension, but once that's done, I'm going to set out on my own journey and find myself again."
"I understand," I say in a strangely calm tone. "You've been through a lot and need time to recover from that." I shoot her a warm smile. "I bet the others will appreciate your help!" Tears form in her eyes. "Are you ready to go?" Rena nods in response. "Alright. Let's transform!"
"Aqua: Dimentix!"
"Rena: Apprenticix!"
I nod in her direction. "You ready?" I ask, holding out my hand. She shoots me a sheepish smile, before taking my hand. I close my eyes in concentration, as a familiar yet powerful energy surrounds us. I exchange a look with Rena, and in a matter of seconds, we're in the courtyard of Alfea.
