Chapter 21 - Unstable Hearts

Spreading Mo Yuans legs apart, Ye Hua placed himself directly between them and waited.  The  moment that Gaogui released his breath into Mo Yuans mouth, the enormous power of his energy would enter his lungs and still his breath completely, though the heart would continue to beat for a few seconds only, which was all the time they had before Zhe Yan would have to move in to massage his chest in order to simulate a heart beat.  Once his breath was released then they would both move simultaneously to free him from Qing Cangs hold.

Turning to Zhe Yan and Di Jun, Ye Hua gave them both a nod of his head.  "Take hold of his shoulders.  When Gaogui stills his breath, Qing Cang will fight against it, the body will thrash, so I need you to keep him down." he said softly in which both men nodded in understanding.  

Having already explained the process and the short amount of time they had to work with, both men took a firm hold of a shoulder each as Gaogui took a deep breath, then lowering himself over his fathers body, his lips completely covered Mo Yuans leaving no gap and from where the others were sitting, they could see everything.

Forcefully, he released his breath.  Forcing it down as hard as he could, they could also see the red tinge of his energy erupting through the skin as the breath flew down towards Mo Yuans lungs and the moment the breath stilled, it was as they had said.  Mo Yuans body suddenly thrashed up as Qing Cang fought to take a breath.

Not only did Di Jun and Zhe Yan struggle to hold him down, but the moment that Gaogui pulled away, he quickly took hold of Mo Yuans head to keep him still as Ye Hua moved over his brothers body and lay down flat above him.

This was a process, none could see, but they could all feel it.  Placing one hand behind Mo Yuans neck where the seat of the soul sits, Ye Hua instantly hit it with a powerful burst of energy, before quickly lowering his own mouth over his brothers.  And with one enormous intake of air, he forced the entire soul out of the body.  Because of their twinship, Mo Yuans soul which was almost identical to his own, obeyed the command to leave.

It was so fast, Zhe Yan and Di Jun almost missed it, but the soul was out of Mo Yuans body and hovering just above his mouth, and before any of them could think about what they were seeing, Gaogui quickly threw a bubble of his blood bloom energy around it.

The moment Zhe Yan saw the bubble of energy wrapped tightly around Mo Yuans soul which was hovering in the air above his body, he quickly let go of his shoulder and moved his hands above his heart, to massage it gently.  The heart had now stopped beating, but by massaging it, the heart would not seizure when the soul was returned, because it had been forced to stop too quickly.

Now with the soul out of the body, both Gaogui and Ye Hua had to move quickly and nor could there be any mistakes.  Creating a second bubble of energy which he attached to the main bubble holding Mo Yuans soul, Ye Hua then placed his hand into the bubble of energy that held Mo Yuans soul to release a burst of his cultivation, the cultivation he had been gifted by their father.  It wasn't a lot to worry about, but it was enough to shatter the soul within the bubble.

Opening the twinship to his brother,  Ye Hua released his energy into the main bubble of energy to keep his brothers soul connected to his own while Gaogui placed his hand in the smaller bubble, and with his energy, he began to draw the dark patches of soul into it.  Watching on fascinated, Di Jun and Zhe Yan saw the dark parches literally being stripped away from Mo Yuans soul and forced into the smaller bubble of energy.

Amazed at how small each piece was, the respect they had for Mo Yuans ability to put his own together went up astronomically.  They were so small, that Zhe Yan stopped attempting to count the small pieces of Qing Cangs soul that was slowly filling the smaller bubble of energy.  But eventually, Gaogui removed the last piece, leaving Mo Yuans soul complete and whole.
