Walking into the Grand Hall with a little bounce in his step, Mo Yuan almost tripped to see Bai Qian standing with her family at the base of the platform talking softly among themselves.  Noticing Di Jun whispering to Ye Hua and then watching as the boy flew out of the hall, Mo Yuan was beginning to wonder what was going on.  The entire Fox Family were gathered in his hall, and knowing how desperate their people were for their attention, he began to worry.

Her back was to him when he entered, but as he slowly made his way down the aisle, she just as slowly turned.

The smile on her face was the first thing he noticed.  It was beaming brightly, her eyes were shining and her hands which were clasped together, opened to raise themselves outwards towards him.

They all turned then.  Smiling at his arrival, Zhe Yan made a move towards him, only to have Bai Zhi pull him back.  Instead it was Bai Qian who moved forward to meet him halfway.  Her smile never left her face, even though she could see every emotion running through his.

Happy beyond words, Mo Yuan took hold of her outstretched hands and gently pulled her towards him.

"Mo Yuan, I'm home." she whispered against the side of his face.

"Welcome home." he replied,  though still very unsure of what was going on.

And things only became more confusing for him, when his son entered the hall with Ye Hua and Lord Pua who had just arrived.

"Qian Qian, what's going on?" he asked pulling away from her to greet a man he had not seen since his sacrifice.

"Mo Yuan, we meet again." the man said smiling at him as both men raised their hands to greet each other.

Then turning to Bai Qian, she too raised her hands to greet him warmly.

"You are looking well, but I am confused as to why you are here." Mo Yuan said though he was happy to see the man had come through the trauma without too many extra wrinkles to his face.

"I see you have yet to be informed." he said smiling at Bai Qian.

"Yes, Mo Yuan has only just arrived, I will inform now." she said before leading him towards the platform where Chang Shan and Zi Lan were already setting up a trestle table for their guests to enjoy tea and refreshments.

Following slowly behind them, Mo Yuan had a very strong suspicion what was going on, but he kept quiet as he waited for her to seat their grand guest, one who rarely left the Palace.  Then watching as she herself poured his tea, he then waited for her to excuse herself.

Turning back to him, she took his hands into her own.  Her eyes were moist but they were smiling at him.  "Let's go for a short walk Mo Yuan." she said looking up at him with so much love, he thought his heart would break from the force of it.  And though he was still harbouring some anger, he felt it dissipate the moment she took his hands.

Leading him out towards the Eastern Wall, she immediately got a view of Gaoguis waterfall, which would in time disappear from view once the trees and foliage grew up around it.

Turning her to face him, Mo Yuan had a thousand questions he wanted answered but the most pressing was why she left without a word or explanation.  He didn't need to voice it, she saw it in his expression, so she immediately dealt with that first by repeating the conversation she had with Shao Wan.

"I told you, nothing happened between us Qian Qian.  This mark was an accident, one I should have removed, but at the time we were in the middle of a war, I completely forgot all about it." he said looking down at her.  His eyes were pooling black, but he was not angry, rather he was disappointed in her for not addressing it immediately.
